tbf western animation is at a low point.

"Western animation" has barely existed for decades now. Almost all of it's been outsourced in some way for a LONG while.

Almost all of rankin bass' stuff was collab shit between them and some japanese studio, batman the animated series was animated by an anime studio, there's a fuckload more examples but I think the worse of it all is the beanmouth corpo art stuff and the newer psuedoanime realism stiff netflix/amazon original animations are both outsourced to south korea that outsources to china that outsources to north korea.It's so retarded and incestuous these days.

I wish people would be able to get non-outsourced animation stuff off the ground again but companies and people they let get big very clearly do not want that to happen.
