I wouldn't doubt this. We've seen how the moment they get offended by someone's mean tweet, they swarm like locusts to shut down the respective X account. It happens every single time.

I'm sure they also blame Kiwifarms for being a part of the Red and Green Cabal, and that believe that many of the great contributors of this thread are actually agents being paid by China or Pakistan (they completely miss the irony that we hate all jeets).

Cavemen were really nice and civic minded. Shanidar-1 was a good example of that: a relatively old man skeleton with a nasty head injury that had healed, so he must've got it in his teens or 20s and been severely disabled (researchers think he must've been blind and walked with a limp), but survived for many more years after, because the other cavemen must've taken care of him, and even gave him a nice burial with a bunch of grave goods and flowers and things.
Also you don't see many dead underage cavegirls who died in childbirth, so paedos weren't as common then either. They had kids later when they were adults.

You'd think so, but right now, no. The software stack for all of this shit is hot garbage because there's maybe two or three actually-competent engineers working on it behind the scenes (mostly on the drivers) and everyone else is just smearing feces around until something works. Fucking nobody competent is working on packaging or distribution concerns for any of this shit right now. Python's a mess, CUDA and ROCm in userland is a mess (on Windows and Linux), the toolchains are a mess, and it's a miracle anything works at all. Shit's so bad people who shouldn't have to are developing replacements for entire chunks of functionality (for example, Huggingface had to write a new replacement for git-lfs because of how big the models all are and how fucking dogshit git-lfs is when you try to use it for anything that isn't a toy).

The problem isn't strictly "raw memory capacity" but rather the requirement for reasonably-contiguous big chunks all allocated at once. ROCm (AMD's flavor of AI stack, aimed at eventually displacing CUDA and all the trimmings surrounding it) only recently gained any competence in this. "I've literally got 106GB of free RAM visible to the GPU according to amd-smi, so why does the whole fucking machine hard-crash trying to load a 31GB model?" "Oh lol because we're dumb cunts wot can't work out how to actually do this right, and we literally tried to tell the GPU driver we wanted 31GB all at once instead of doing literally fucking anything possibly even a tiny bit smarter, uh-durrrr!" Given AMD's general superiority in terms of GPU driver quality on Linux (in both reliability and performance compared to Windows), I'm especially annoyed that the usually very stable driver suite is so brittle in the face of obviously, blatantly retarded API calls it should have caught and instantly rejected, instead of fucking crashing the whole system.

Jeets cannot navigate this right now. I guarantee you no sand nigger can configure this software stack as it stands today. Mind you, it's rock-solid once you get it working, but this still requires CLI skills beyond copy/pasta. You need to be comfortable changing kernel boot parameters (i.e. GRUB) and know how to recover when you fuck it up and you're stuck either at the GRUB console or the "rescue mode" shell. Understanding python3's venv module is a must. Python3's library ecosystem is a nightmare of hard version dependencies and backwards-incompatible changes, and this specific niche (AI models) is utterly incompetent in terms of software management or packaging or portability or maintenance and so they've added their incompetence to the general minefield of modern python3's ecosystem to make it Oh So Fun™.

The whole thing is a slush of idiots who don't know what they're doing publishing code that "worked once on my machine two weeks ago last time I tried it in between hits of LSD and meth" and AI bots like Grok, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini snapping up blog posts and treating it like production-quality software and documentation.

Did I mention it's really fucking fun, too? Don't mistake my complaints for a "fuck this I quit" rant -- this stuff's lots of fun to play with, but there ain't no way a fucking jeet can cope with this shit right now. They're stuck with the shitty free-tier online stuff. And don't feel too angry about the online tools "just werks"ing. They're cobbled together by as much gummy duct tape and months-old chewing gum as everything else is. Nobody's doing this "well" yet, even for pay.

A lot of it is just triage. NCMEC gets millions of tips and there are only so many officers to investigate so they focus on the high risk ones. If someone gets flagged with a single old image they get tossed in a backlog maybe pass it to local cops to handle it if they know the location, if they have a bunch of images flagged they are a dealer and move up in priority, if someone is uploading brand new shit, they get a team of FBI tracking them down because a kid is actively being victimized.
