Scamming Indians is pointless because they're all broke. If you scam an Indian, you'll get maybe the equivalent of 10 USD. Indians also barely generate any ad revenue because they don't have spending money. The only reason why you'd want Indian traffic is to bump up your engagement metrics. Even then, the algorithm may only make you more visible to Indians.
Did India NEED to kill the rats? In Europe, protecting stockpiles from pests is vital because it needs to get them through the winter and developed better storage techniques as well as embracing animals that can catch rats like dogs and cats as a result. Indians can grow food year round, if someone starves or gets sick that is just karma catching up, and they don't really utilize animals the same way Euros did and IIRC they view rats as spiritually cleaner than dogs.

Yes. Even without harsh winters, harvest periods are a thing, and food needs to be stored for months between them still. Farming is back breaking work regardless, and a farmer would have to be a peak retard to just casually accept his crop being eaten by pests - Every cup of grain lost to the rats is a cup he can't eat or sell.
Clearing pests is work considered beneath the farm owners. And usually even the farm workers. But you also don't want the caste that can clear rats around on your farm because then you're the farm that needs the dalits and it hurts your Izzat. So you're stuck in a standoff.
