(Right wingers are presented as both protagonists and POV characters, liberals are cartoon villains lacking only vampire teeth and coffins to sleep in to really drive home the point. Turns out the 'controversy' was much ado about nothing from a ton of fucking snowflakes acting like pissbabies with hurt fee fees because the mean producers didn't blow them prior to making a movie with their explicit script and production approval; aka CURRENT YEAR as usual. If you like action thrillers, give it a watch.)

We watched it Friday, shit was pretty fun actually. Whole thing is very tongue in cheek with everything.

Great gore as well.

It's a lot of fun, too. I recommend it.

I almost suspect that this movie being cancelled has something to do with its pointed takedown of the left. The antagonists are pretty spot on skewers of blue coastal elites.

I watched this tonight and thought it was pretty shitty. The action bits are pretty good but the script is god awful; it's satire by somebody who couldn't write comedy to save their life -- every joke is not only screamed in the audience's face but also then explained to them, just in case they didn't get it.

Also watched Ready or Not, which has a similar basic plot of a heroine being hunted by rich assholes and liked that one infinitely more.

Yeah that's the thing: the film's message is basically "both sides need to grow the fuck up".

I watched it a couple weeks ago and I had a blast. It works very well as a fun, gory action comedy. And the ending was one of the more hilarious I've seen in ages.
