Hard to say. I think Anno was going a very body horry and human centered route. What with the weird tail spawn it was creating at the end. Idk how a Mecha Godzilla would fit in, as sick as EvaGoji would be.

I tried watching Spacegodzilla the other day and it's absolutely the weakest in the Heisei run, so fingers crossed they can flesh it out a little more and make him a bit more malevolent in this version.
Kinda hard to flesh out "It's Godzilla... but from SPACE!"
I know I know I guess I've just been a little unimpressed with the last two movies and Legacy of Monsters was only half good. Kind of hoping they can turn it around a bit.

I unironically love that idea. Especially within the context of that delightfully retarded line where they talked about Godzilla and kongs people fighting each other for hundreds of years.
But that would contradict the whole Hollow earth gimmick and Ghidorah being an invader.
Maybe this version will be an alien that comes to Earth, absorbs some of Godzilla's DNA, and mutates into a hybrid kind of like Orga.
A Space Godzilla will become canonized, dammit!
