He's the douchebag responsible for the laughable "Freedom Fries" crap, all because he was butthurt that some people in another country didn't agree with the Iraq War. His reasoning was that God told him to do--because an omnipotent being really gives a shit about what a particular food item is called. Stupid politicians and their stupid, useless emotions. I like to occasionally send him (or the aid running his Twitter) mocking messages.

And if you want any more proof about North Carolinian politicians being out of touch and generally insane and not fit to live in this world, look up "North Carolina state religion." I need to get to fucking Virginia and SOON.

Infact, some guy I knew when I was late at night studying in the library was running around the library outside screaming

Yeah, seems it. Wait until they get into discussions on which Christian denomination to make the official state religion. The fact that there's more than one will blow their minds.

In other news, I finally gave in after a month of resisting and got myself a Nook HD. It's so pretty and shiny and stuff. The interface will get some getting used to, though.
 
I can't tell what the hell is going on in my life anymore, or more specifically, I've no idea what I want in my life. I know where I'm going, there's no need to worry about the future, but it's all the little things that are happening now that are getting to me. It all has to do with love and hate. I don't have a clue as to how I could do either of those two things, but it's all becoming overwhelming.

On one side, there is someone I love. Well, there's a lot of people I love, but there's someone I have good feelings about. Specifically, someone I want to have a bigger place in my life. I'm not getting married or anything, I just have a hard time with people when I feel stronger for them than others, and making someone a more prevalent member of my life is something that can either stress me out to no end, or fill me with optimism. We've known each other for a while, but have been communicating with each other for about half a year. I feel like a lot of feelings are mutual, and that makes me happy, but the stress comes in when I begin to worry about another person not liking me to that extent or at all and being offended by my clinging to them.

On the other side, there is someone I'm quite sure I hate. I've never been known to harbor harsh feelings against another person (and if I had, it was usually for only a day or two before I started feeling awful), so this is definitely new for me. I've known this person for a year and a half, and our relationship has been extremely unstable. I feel fed up and unable to take much more of this person's crude behavior. I tried to be a positive model in their life, but I feel as if I'm being taken for granted and I feel that everything I tell them just seems to go in one ear and come out the other. I love to help people, and I love it when I see someone bloom into something they didn't think they could be, and I have a lot of patience, but it's almost been two years, and if anything, we've been going backwards with developmental progress. I'm becoming sick of having to defend this person, and it feels more like an obligation as opposed to a favor of kindness and trust. This person has threatened to harm themselves, other people, and my own friends. I hate it, and I don't want to be around them any longer. The problem is that they know where I hang around. They know who I speak to. They know a lot about me, and it feels inescapable. I have the feeling they still want to latch on to some sort of prospect of a healthy friendship, but I'm just done. And now I don't know what I feel towards this person, but I know it's not companionship or love, or anything I feel for most people the moment I meet them for the first time. And I don't think it's wise to harbor such feelings against someone for my own well being.

So those are the two major factors that are causing the most stress in my life right now. I don't know what's doing more damage, not acting on anything with the person I love, or not saying anything to the person I hate. Actually, I think the latter will resolve itself if that person were to even get word of me hating someone and was to immediately assume I was talking about them. But that isn't absolute, and I still need to start trying to figure out what I can do to resolve this issue with myself, and then with these associates. I'm giving myself some distance between one of them, and the other doesn't see me as frequently, so I don't think I'll have a problem with personal space for now. I just need some time to think all of this over.

Last night I created and activated two dating site profiles. This morning I got a message on each. One from a guy who was really cute.

I think the total shock I felt at this event could only be beaten by Obama going on TV and announcing his right-wing defection.
