Went to the mall at the same time the liquor store was closing and it's employees were walking out. They assumed I was going to the liquor store they informed me that they'd just closed up.

I'm too lazy to drive to the other liquor store for my bottom shelf vodka and pot, so I guess I'll just deal with being one of the 'regulars'.


Oh and here's a picture of a fat rat. No reason, just felt like ratposting.

It's about 30 below freezing and it's gonna hover around that for at least the rest of the year. Love it.

Got really drunk and passed out last night, woke up this morning with only a mild hangover (feel fine to study like usual). And this is why I'm a vodka drinker. Gets you drunk quick and because of how pure it is, there's only minimal hangover. It's pretty much the only thing I get drunk on, since I have no time for being a hungover sad sack.


We also got the fireplace going recently, and my cat really likes it. She sits on her blanket, snuggles up in front of the fire and takes long naps. I love that cat. She's really affectionate.
 
Went out for brunch and Christmas shopping with my father today. It hurts a bit to see my old man become, well, an old man. Luckily he keeps in shape, so he'll be healthy for a good while longer yet. I live with my parents, so their aging isn't as noticeable as people who only see their family every now and again, but I've been noticing it more over the past five or so years.

Going to miss them once I move out after college (my family and I enjoy each other's company, so there's no point in moving out and getting debt until I'm out of school). Sure, the added freedom will be nice and I obviously don't want to spend my entire young adulthood living at home, but I will miss spending the evenings playing board games with my father and our movie nights.
 
I forgot that using zero sugar Hershey syrup is about the same as eating Ex-lax.
Oh well, happy shitting I guess
 
I was sitting at a stoplight yesterday, minding my own business, waiting on it to turn green. A carload of bearded, young, loud Muslims,shouting anti-American slogans, with a half- burned American Flag duct taped on the trunk of their car and a "Remember 9-11" slogan spray painted on the side, stopped next to me.

The light changed, the Muslims praised Allah, shook their fists, hit the gas & darted off ahead of me. Suddenly an 18-wheeler came speeding thru the intersection & ran directly over their car,crushing it completely, killing everyone in the car. For several minutes I sat on my bike thinking to myself, "Man... that could have been me!" So today bright and early, I went out and got a job as a truck driver.
 
Speaking of trannies... Went bowling with a good friend of mine, and found out one of our mutual friends (whom I had a falling out with three year ago) has changed her name and goes by, as my friend put it 'any pronoun'. It really surprises me, since she never gave any signs of not being cis or hetero in the time I knew her. When we were teens, she was the only one who had boyfriends, and when some of the other girls flirted with changing pronouns (thankfully they all came back to Earth and grew out of that phase), she never did. Out of everyone who might troon out, she'd've been my last guess.


While I haven't been friends with her for a long time, it still sucks to hear this has happened. I'm just hoping she either grows out of it, as we're still young adults, or at the very least doesn't get any surgery.

Now I have two friends who have transitioned (neither of whom knew each other), and for context, I don't have a large social circle. This is definitely a social contagion. It just makes me sad. Both of them were physically fit, attractive women. It seems like such a waste.
