I've been to a few internet forums in my day but I must say the CWCki forum has the least amount of mental retardation in it.

So many experiences to contradict that statement... you clearly haven't been here that long.

I've actually been here for a long while. The ridiculousness that's been here was HILARIOUS though and only further pushes the point that this is a fun forum.
The retardation I'm talking about is aimless sperging only directed at personal insults towards each other for the most pointless reasons.

I successfully taught my brother how to operate a washer and dryer. He did it all by himself today with me watching in case he got lost or stuck. I did put a step by step list on the wall for him to follow. He did it like a charm. He's so proud of himself!

It's a big deal to me because he is 18, severely autistic and nonverbal, but he understands you and he is able to type to talk. I've been working on him much of his life after some asshole doctor said he'll never be able to do anything for himself. I hate that. Why can't those cunts say "he might need extra help all his life" instead of damning people as functional as Chris to a life of uselessness?

Over the years, I've gotten my brother to:

*Read
*Count on his fingers
*Tell time, but only on clocks with hands
*Tie his own shoes
*Brush his teeth without help
*Use the bathroom like an adult.
*Lock or unlock doors
*Put on and take off his own clothes. (Still working on buttoning and unbuttoning buttons on his own, but zippers are easy.)
*Pick up after himself. He leaves any space that isn't his in the same or better condition than it was before he used it.
*Make a simple pb/j sandwich.
*Make eye contact when someone calls his name
*Laundry as of today!

He has a ton of behavior issues he can't always help. I give him something to occupy his hands, like bubble wrap or a Rubick's cube on days he's grabby. I used to mess with him by grabbing those away to show him why people don't like him taking stuff out of their hands. He GETS it now! I haven't had to do that in three years!

I don't let him tard out in public and he knows I don't. He acts up with other people who don't call him out on his bullshit. I know the difference between real overstimulation and him faking it to get out of going somewhere he doesn't want to. I get pissed at people who decide not to take him out because he's being a big set of bitch tits. Thanks for teaching him he can be a dick to get out of going to the dentist. Guess what? He pretty much behaves around me. GEE I WONDER WHY??

I showed him a few threads about Chris and he typed to me and I quote "His problems are stupid he doesn't try hard enough!"

A person more autistic than Chris thinks Chris is fucked up. How sad is that?

Anyway, he washed his own clothes today! Took him two years to do it. I'm gonna treat him to some ice cream. He fucking earned it.
