- You were on a spaceship the whole time.

- A girl with green hair fights a clown.

- Count your payment out correctly and let enemies run away from you. Be good, and in four games it won't matter anyway.

- You're cleaning up after all the OSHA violations you and your brother have committed.

- Your wife dies, tricks you into exposing yourself to your enemies, and manipulates the hell out of you and your son. And you're okay with it. (ETA: Vrakks correctly guessed God of War 2018)

- The most basic fantasy plot possible.

Viewtiful Joe?

Yep.

I'll give some hints to the other two:
1: A deep cut from the "Doom clone" era
2: If you've played the game based on the movie as well as the one I'm hinting at you'll know exactly what I'm referring to.

Is the first one Descent, since that is from that era, rescuing hostages is important, and a deep cut could refer to the mines?

Woman inherits very unusual undertaking business.

Viewtiful Joe?

:agree:

No, Descent is actually good and is no way a "deep cut" if you have a working knowledge of 90s PC gaming. Note the "consider killing yourself" part in the original clue.

Either P'Oed cause that "deep cut" (you're a chef in P'oed) line or Heretic cause of "consider killing yourself" Cause the doom invincibility code would instakill ya in it.
