This is the most pretentious shit I've seen in a very long fucking time. And it has "whi peplo stole mah melanin" as collaborator. Did they just dump DS2 then? Does their studio even make money or do they do artsy trailers for Kojima to jack off to while he invites Pedowood people so he can fellate them and feel important?

That aside, next Monster Hunter reveal is neat and it actually had the audacity of showing actual gameplay, which makes it the defacto best reveal trailer of the show, though it being more than a year away makes it pointless to be honest.

On the awards front, Soyderman getting snubbed is very very funny. BG3 getting everything is expected once the Sony checks bounced, but lets see if this translates to the industry learning something or just doubling down (of course, they will just double down). AC6 got it's fucking award, but Pizza Tower got robbed and not much else to actually say.

Sounds like it was an incredibly boring show with nothing hype being shown either.
 
Kojima gets what he deserves for trying to be part of Hollywood so bad. Working with an autistic tranny and the nigger who made shitty "horror" movies made for blacks like Us and Nope. At this point, I think he deserves his own thread. Kojima is a hack. Imagine wasting time making FedEx Simulator when you could have spent that time learning English so people in Hollywood would actually know who u are.

TGA is just very surface-level in terms of videogames and, if anything, it just cements my belief that I should continue to ignore the western vidya industry outside of a few small-made projects. Besides Nintendo stuff and Armored Core 6, there were plenty of other entertaining games released this year between Octopath Traveler II, Atelier Marie remake, Ys X Nordics, Volcano Princess, Star Ocean The Second Story R, Paranormasight, 20 Minutes Till Dawn, etc.

2024 has already my most beloved GOTY, Earth Defense Force 6 (on PC), followed closely by its spin-off World Brothers 2, as well as Shiren the Wanderer 6, Another Code Recollection, The Scramble Vice, etc. A lot of titles that TGA couldn't care less but that doesn't affect my enjoyment of them whatsoever.

Yes, BG3 isn't some amazing innovation, it's just what the game industry standard in quality and detail should have been at this point and it makes a bunch of other AAA games look far worse and lazier. It's like a "never forget what they took from you" moment.

Pretty much, when everybody was jacking off to it, I picked up Kingmaker for a 5er instead (scratch that open RPG itch, a lot less likely to end up with any sort of faggotry), had my fun with it till it became too "open" (killed Stag Lord, got a bit of the patented mind freeze) and haven't touched it since, but it's just one of those types of games, nothing groundbreaking.

It's just that the standard consoomer is so brownbeaten that a competent product is enough to make them amazed and that it managed to get enough momentum to get everyone and their mother to check it out. I've barely dabbled in the genre but I imagine that anybody that has played these games since Neverwinter/Falllout/Arcanum going through Dvinity and Kingmaker will probably consider BG3 a solid entry, but not the second coming of Christ. Also, managed to come in a perfect window where apathy was extra high with Starfield launching soon after to absolute mockery, had this game come out in 2017 it would have been a solid game for the year but not particularly remembered.

Basically, BG3 doing gangbusters is less that it's the most amazing game out there and more a reflection of the sorry state of the industry. Still probably deserved since people seemed to really like it, but looking at the nominees it was only Mario Wonder or Zelda, and Zelda feels like DLC that bloated to it's own thing and 2d Mario's are never considered that big of a deal, no matter how solid they may be.
