They don't want copycats thinking anyone can just walk up on stage and interrupt the show, and they want to guarantee the safety of people in the audience. If someone had really wanted to hurt a presenter or winner, they could have.

But the fact it was a stupid prank means they should let it go, laugh it off and just say "Hey folks, it was funny once, but don't do it again".
