Doesn't help that the "GFs cause you to lose your memories" plot point was buried in the fucking tutorial or were throwaway lines by NPCs.

Yeah, but only specific memories that cover for gigantic plot holes apparently. I feel like 8 and 13 are the stand out for fever dream retarded autist plot hole story telling and I love them.
I currently spent some shekels on the FF4 remastered, forgot how kino that game is. Its difficult and the story is pretty good (even though it also can get kind of retarded)

8 could of gotten away with that shit if instead of GFs causing memory loss they said it was the work of the Sorceress specifically targeting them. Yeah, it's dumb, but it's a plausible dumb.

Seems like the summon mythos in this game is coming up as a copypaste of 14 & 15. Bahamut is an antagonist. Ifrit is actually high-tier and not some loser entry summon, Shiva is some chick in disguise, etc.

Blood, Gore, and Tits. Remember that they toned down Final Fantasy XV from Versus 13 to specifically keep the age rating as low as possible. Guess Square Enix decided to say screw it.

He said it's too late to change anything, so it's shipping as is.
However this doesn't stop any type of post patch change to alter NPCs. Elden Ring already did that actually and removed specific racial NPCs and replaced them with others so it would fit the world lore better. They got rid of the viking shamen NPCs of a specific type and replaced them with the centipedes for the underground city.
