The story is inspired by a real-life fan who pursued Limp Bizkit's frontman Fred Durst many years ago, and the screenplay was written by Durst and Dave Bekerman. It follows Moose (played by John Travolta), who gets cheated out of meeting his favorite action hero, Hunter Dunbar (played by Devon Sawa). Moose then hunts down Dunbar to get the celebrity interaction he feels he deserves. Harmless at first, Moose's actions begin to take a dark turn. Against the advice of his friend Leah (Ana Golja), Moose begins to make frequent visits to his hero's private home. As the visits continue to escalate, Dunbar finds himself in increasing danger.

I've heard literally nothing about this movie coming out. All I know is that despite Durst saying it's inspired by some LB stalker fan, it's pretty much a remake of the '96 movie, starring Cuba Gooding Jr Wesley Snipes and De Niro. That one is a pretty solid thriller.

What I didn't know, is that the '96 movie is a remake of the '81 movie, starring Lauren Bacall and pre-Terminator Michael Biehn as the deranged stalker. Never heard of this one before.

I remember reading about Fred Durst trying to get into directing for a while, I might check it out, even if it's out of sheer nostalgia since I was a LB fan in my early teens. You can find it you-know-where.

The only thing about the trailer that really impressed me the one time I watched it was getting to the end and finding out that was John Travolta playing the psycho. Completely unrecognizable, and it's not just the makeup.

Fred Durst has already directed a movie, so this isn't as unusual as it may seem.

Looks like a pretty good movie.
Oh yea I'm not saying it's bad or anything, I haven't watched any of his films yet. I'll check this one out shortly.

I do remember the '96 movie being a pretty good thriller, we'll see how this one stacks up.

Well his band sucked
I enjoyed it a lot back in the day, absolutely no shame in admitting it. I used to play "Three Dollar Bill, Y'all$" at full blast constantly back in the late '90s.

And he's a pretty good frontman, probably a bit better than quite a few out there so there's that.

I desperately need someone to deepfake Travolta's character from Saturday Night Fever into that trailer.

doubleposting because this kinographimations must be taken seriously

When 99% of everyone going to see it will do it 'cause of Travolta
tfw no one remembers limp bizkit.jpg

I was misreading the title as "The Fantastic" and thought it was another Fantastic Four movie rebooted under a lame name change. Now I want a Fantastic Four movie that takes the plot of Misery and twists it for a capeshit plot that doubles as an origin story for H.E.R.B.I.E.

Never trusted that little shit.

I don't appreciate the insinuations this movie makes about projector master race.
