Another remake that didn't need to exist, for a game that still looks fine, and that shits all over the original artstyle, adding dogshit effects like piss-filter.
I'm so excited for the continuing decay of the AAA gaming industry.
 
At least they are don't gonna fuck it up the original. Maybe the OG gonna get removed from the stores (like what happened with the OG GTA trilogy)
I still say: i can care less.
I can't believe how Skyrim Special Edition is still the best "remaster" Bethsoft gave.
I don't have any hopes of FO3. And F:NV much less.
 
Oh, so now it's supposedly completely remade in UE5 and not just "UE5 layered on top of CE," whatever that was supposed to mean lmao. To me, that means it's going to run like ass, look indistinguishable from the rest of the UE5 deluge, and mods won't work anywhere near as easy. Skyblivion is going to eat this for lunch.
 
I'm ready for the train wreck. I can't wait for Oblivion mods to only be available through Bethesda's Creation menu.

More importantly - what do the people look like? Obviously they were never going to be able to capture the oil painting beauty of Oblivion's Cyrodil, or the way light cascades off every object.

But I need to know if it is populated by grey NPCs or if they have preserved the surrealism of the original NPCs, both in appearance and in behavior.
 
They will 100% try to make the faces as good looking as possible. If I had to guess, fixing the faces was the number 1 priority of this remake.
Remakefags are so completely soulless that they can't understand that weird quirks is what make so many games unique and memorable.

Haha, there it is. "NO SOUL!". What is soul? Sticking to the original art direction? Croc Remaster is the most 1:1 remaster I've ever seen and it looks soulless and shit. There is no way to appease people.

If the oblivion gameplay is still there, it'll have soul. Water reflections and bad animations wasn't what gave that game soul.
 
Damn I was actually mildly hype for this, I thought it was going to keep Oblivion, Oblivion just with higher quality models and textures. Not take a shit on the art style. I swear to god if TES6 looks like this it's over.

Doubtful. Skyblivion will take some knowledge of modding to install so 95% of players on PC won't be able to play it and consolefags will have to settle for this UE5 slop. From what I can see in the low res pics posted I can't spot any Skyrim texture mods so either someone made it in UE5 as a prank or it's real. The lighting does look like an ENB but that doesn't mean anything.

I‘m not really involved in the development of our installer, but it should be really straightforward in the end. No extra mods needed. So hopefully won‘t take much knowledge.

Console is obviously not possible for Skyblivion.

Hard to say what effect the remaster will have on us really. Screenshots look kinds soul- and colourless but obviously better then our Creation Engine version (which we‘ve pushed to the limit to be fair). Curios how their dungeons will look like and if they‘re just gonna be a prettied-up version of Oblivion‘s endless hallways. The hand made dungeons will be one of Skyblivion‘s strong points.
