So, there's been some kiwis who have stated that there is a very distinctive difference of a man being gay and is just a normal member of society: then there is men being a flaming faggot by being almost naked at pride parades. Example Images:

Being gay is just what you are, like being blonde or tall or something like that.
Being a faggot is a state of mind, like being a brony or a furry or a vegan. You chose to be a faggot, for whatever reason, but that does not necessitate that you are also gay. There are plenty of straight faggots out there as well.
 
Gay is just being homo without shoving it in everyone's faces (i.e. me).

My definition of faggot has always been someone who acts obnoxiously, knowingly or otherwise, for attention. There just happens to be a large overlap between gays and faggots. People love being vocal about their sexuality, makes them feel special.

People who attend pride marches are faggots.
They make being homosexual the most important part of their lives.
