I can kinda understand why Sheriff Smith responded the way he did. To an outsider looking in, this shit would be borderline incomprehensible; it's possible he couldn't parse there was a serious situation going on inbetween all the mentions of sonichus and moon weapons, like @Null and us internet cool kids can. He probably read it as crazy people beefing over the internet, i.e. not something to waste his time with.

Cops in places like Ruckersville are also very used to trashy rednecks trying to use them as leverage in interpersonal disputes; it usually goes that Cletus calls them from the trailer park yelling about how Elroy assaulted/stole something from him, but when they get there it turns out nothing acutally happened and Cletus just wanted to get back at him for sleeping with his wife. When Chris contacted him, Smith may have thought he was another dumb redneck making a BS call to try and settle some beef, and blew him off accordingly. Null wasn't taken very seriously for similar reasons; to us, he's a credible source on Chris's life, but to the unaware like Smith he'd just be some anonymous rando who could very well be bullshitting too.

My point is, to people who are familiar with Chris, the wrongdoing is maddeningly obvious; but to outsiders like Smith and Law Enforcement in general, it's not nearly as clear. I don't think a lot of Kiwis understand just how different their thought processes are from most people who actually deal with Chris IRL.

Also, if it's really trolls all the way down, how much of Chris becoming Christine was their doing? Would he have trooned out if not for them? Can they be blamed for the un-clit? If @Marvin or anyone else could provide some perspective on that I'd be interested.

There was a time when Chris’s antics were funny. Some of the classic stuff was extorted, but some of it truly was him getting in front of the camera on his own volition and acting harmlessly crazy (the videobooks, for example). On some level, even counting the extorted stuff, most of it was memorable and funny. Yes, there were exceptions like Bluespike, but generally it was this period of lightheartedness where Chris at least seemed to have the final trump card with his ability to go offline and play with his toys.

This dynamic has eroded over the past 7 years, and with this news, it’s just gone.

Última edición:
speech delay is common in high functioning autistic kids, but not every kid has a speech delay. we don't know with chris because his lack of speech is more likely related to babysitter-related trauma than autism if i recall properly

Chris sometimes still sounds like he has an unchecked speech impediment.

speech impediments are different than speech delays, and speech impediments can happen for a zillion reasons, not just autism

I know but I thought we were talking about problems with Chris' speech in general.

Super late but I’m glad this forum is looking out for Chris when shit goes way too far.

I do feel bad that Chris gets himself into these messes because he thinks he is doing good by/for someone, only to find out he's been taken for an idiot. I also feel bad because a lot of the time, he can't get himself out of them.

@Null Are you going to release more than just the "torturing Cryzel" stuff? It might be helpful to release something that highlights Wise/Boyd's actual criminal acts here- them extracting the "pedo/abuse confession" from Chris that you mentioned. And especially them demanding money/goods, under threat of releasing that confession.

(Even if parts of it have to be "redacted" or whatever; just enough so people can see that there was actual criminal behavior- the money and the false confession. )

The "torturing Cryzel" stuff may show how edgy and autistic Wise and Boyd were, and that they bullied Chris, but it didn't reveal anything criminal (not that I saw, at least). That stuff is bad if you know what Chris is like and what he believes, but to anyone (especially anyone who knows nothing about Chris- which is everyone who could help here) else it's just a weird, edgy role-play about make-believe cartoon characters.

It's just my opinion, but I think stressing the actual criminal behavior -the money and the confession- might be more effective at getting people to take this seriously than leading off with weapons on the moon and tortured cartoon characters.
