https://www.cheknews.ca/pit-bull-attack-near-nanaimo-injures-two-children-and-one-woman-450395/

Two 8-month-old pit bulls that were loose in Nanaimo attacked several children, severely injuring at least one. Other people that came to aid the children were also injured.

The children were playing in a yard at the house of one of their friends. The dogs were from somewhere else in the neighborhood and had been cited for being at large previously.

One of the owners of the dogs came and got the dogs but did not stick around. The news interviewed the other owner, a Dangerhair that looked to be in her late 40s or early 50s. While she was devastated at what her dogs had done, she said to the reporter, "People are saying, look at this from the prospective of a parent, well, these dogs are my kids, too," and then she broke down crying.

It was later reported both dogs were euthanized, as there have been other incidents prior to this one, and due to the severity of the injuries the one particular child sustained.

To the dangerhair dog owner I would have to say, "If these dogs were your KIDS, you did a lousy job of raising them. Thank heavens you didn't spawn any of your own."

This is why I call Pitbulls "Idiot Removers." Because they're doing the Lord St. Darwin's work by removing stupid morons who like to virtue signal by getting ugly murderdogs with bad reputations.
Except they're just as likely to slaughter some innocent kid next door who did nothing more stupid than exist in the vicinity of a shit bull.

This wouldn't have happened if the damn dog wasn't taken to a resteraunt.
Then the dog’s owner left the restaurant and drove away with a man, despite the girl’s father and other customers telling the woman to wait for police, authorities say. But the father later provided the license plate information to investigators.
Dine and dash/pit and run, typical. Pit bull owners are not only dumb as hell for choosing them in the first place, they're all too often complete fucking cowards who flee when their ugly mutant dogs attack someone. I hope the little girl's parents sue that cunt into bankruptcy.

This story was posted a few pages ago, but I must say I'm glad the judge did the right thing and had the dog destroyed. I wish he could have ordered the selfish, entitled Pibble Mommy to be put down with the dog. I hate people who lie about their pets being service animals just so they can take them where they don't belong. I've got no problem with real service animals, but whoever the animal belongs to needs to have all the proper paperwork done and should have a copy of that paperwork with them to prove the animal is legally allowed wherever they are. And I'm sick of the "emotional support/comfort animal" bullshit. Unless someone has like severe Autism or Downs and actually NEEDS a comfort animal, and that comfort animal is properly papered, then grown-ass adults don't need their pet to go with them into Texas Roadhouse or the fucking grocery store.

And I'm all for pets being allowed into some stores and businesses. I take my dog with me to the country store whenever I go buy dog food and Sportsmans Warehouse sometimes, places like that, but I'd never think of taking him to the grocery store or Walmart or a restaurant. If food is sold or made then the only animals that should be there are licensed service animals. And if someone is going to take their pet with them to a store then they should only do it if the pet is properly on a leash, the owner is paying attention to their pet, and the pet is well-behaved and socialized. I've been taking my dog out to stores since he was a puppy so that he would be properly socialized, and I only did that because he's a really mellow, friendly boy who really enjoys going new places and meeting new people and dogs. If I had ever thought it might cause problems then I would never do it.

Since this thread can kind of be a downer, I thought I'd share a photo of my dog to raise the spirits a bit. Kind of a pallet cleanser, as it were.

Edit: found a better photo of my dog. 20201220_180127.jpg

A good doggo.

This nanny dog meme is a real thing? My family just tried explaining to me how pitbulls are "one of the kindest dog breeds". Why the fuck are people so defensive of these things? They are one of the most hideous breeds I've ever seen in my life.

If I had to get a big dog I'd get a rottweiler. They're intimidating but also soft and cuddly.

Rottweilers are relatively smart and don't get spooked easily ... Unlike Pittbulls.

A mate of mine has a Rottweiler, anytime someone comes into the house, the Dog gets his Tug Toy drops it at the guests feet, then stares up at him, essentially telling him to pick it up. It's both intimidating and charming at the same time.

He loves playing with kids, he doesn't mind them holding onto him while he drags them around the garden... doesn't mind cats, but won't stand another dog around in the house.

Just a really great smart creature, well socialised, super active and great to be around.

Pitbulls are dumb, easily frightened, and anytime I see a picture of one I just see an animal unhappy in it's own body. A total genetic mess, made worse by being owned by humans with an equally shit pedigree.

Incidentally there's a massive trend in the UK of NEET women buying Mastiff's or other quasi dangerous dogs... Is this a thing in the US?

Yes, and when it's shit bulls they call themselves pit mommies and other dumb shit. You can see them out in public obviously barely able (or completely unable) to keep the dog under control.

They cost nothing to own since there is a surplus due to retards not spaying and neutering. Hence failures take them as their breed instead of more expensive ones.

That is true that they were meant to be family or “gentleman dogs.” Essentially they were supposed to be good with children and be able to finish fights. Furthermore they were trained to kill vermin ie small animals. This can be a dangerous combination for obvious reasons. They can be lovable but the issue is that they need a lot of training and exercise but the average modern pit bull owner is fat, undisciplined, and doesn’t know how to train dogs.

No offense but I've long been sick and tired of going to Lowe's or Home Depot for something and seeing dogs all over the place. Usually at least one of them takes a shit in the middle of the store that the owner pretends isn't there. One time in a Ace Hardware I saw a woman dump popcorn on the ground for her dog to eat, and left before even half of it was eaten. And I feel extremely uncomfortable that dogs are allowed in the local used books (and other media) store. I've felt trapped by a dog giving off unfriendly body language on more than one occasion, and even overheard a woman openly telling someone that her dog bit someone in that very store. It was, spoiler, their fault because they made the dog feel "trapped", while at that moment had their dog in a corner where it could also feel trapped (for the curious, it looked at the very least uncomfortable and that made me scared to even be remotely in the same vicinity as the dog).

So the guys that bred Pitbulls for Bull baiting and Dog fighting... also wanted them to be good with Children?

Bloodsports were a huge business in 19th Century Britain, they were bred for a specific financial purpose, which no longer exists.

Pitbulls are tortured by their own genetics, in the same way French Bulldogs struggle to breath, Pitbulls are easily stressed and too dumb to ever be properly socialised.

Notice the way that an animal only needs to have a little Pitbull in him to become a menace! The Breed is intrinsically flawed. The humane thing to do would be put them down. Why American shelters are trying to rehome them is baffling to me.

I still think of that poor stupid pitbull my neighbor had that didn't even make it to 2 years old because her owner kept feeding her oreos. Pit owners are fucking retarded.

On one hand I'm glad it's gone since the neighborhood is full of cats and small children, but goddamn it didnt deserve such a slow death. If anything it's more mercifull to put them down without pain or fear instead of letting it be sick for over a year and suffering.

Because people in the West are trained to view anything with a bad reputation as a victim of society thanks to decades of mass media programming.

Powerlevel: Went out with a girl I've been seeing today. While in the car, we see a tiny woman walking a pitbull - unneutered, of course. Queue the "she's fucking that dog" comments. We get to where we're going and park, but see the girl and the dog are actually walking past us. Okay, cool, gonna wait for it to pass before getting out. Except while the woman is looking at her phone, the pitbull stops dead in its tracks and just looks into the car, right at my girlfriend. Completely still, staring her down. Meanwhile, the woman keeps walking, not noticing her dog, and eventually it moves away once the leash runs out of slack.

We sat there in shock, realizing that literally every stereotype about pits had been completely affirmed (minus the mauling - good thing we waited).

I think I also told the story where a childhood friend's pitbull jumped up and "nipped" me, leaving four dark purple bruises and scratches from its nails. I didn't do anything to provoke this. I just walked into his house with him. He had to then check the house to make sure the dog was locked in a room before I left. His mom insisted I was okay. Fuck that shit.

I generally attribute this sort of behavior to a kind of "pseudo-contrarianism."
There's a bit of self-aggrandizement involved in any form of "contrary to popular belief..." shit because it makes you feel like you're the enlightened minority fighting to educate the uninformed majority. It's one of the reasons conspiracy theories of the "what they don't want you to know" variety are so attractive.
The "psuedo" part comes in where it's actually a very popular take and you're more likely to find yourself in good company than not by repeating it. People who go on about how "America is a super racist country" as if they're making a statement that will get them anything other than a pat on the back are a good example. They selectively shut out all voices that agree with everything they say while fixating on the handful that disagree, because it allows them to paint this picture of themselves as the lone voice of reason in enemy territory.

As for the pitbulls thing: they have this notion in their head that "everyone" thinks these adorable nanny dogs are evil. Not them though. They're better than that and they know the TRUTH that it's always the owner's fault. They can hear 10 voices that agree with them and one that dissents and they'll still be under the impression that they're the minority voice of reason.

The dogs themselves make me sad. They didn't choose this shit. It was chosen for them by evil breeders and dumb, naive people. They're like antivaxers in that they think just being contrary means they're right. It couldn't be possible that the majority is actually right sometimes.

Quit being an ignorant sheeple. We all know the problem is the owners.
It just so happens that the owners are typically niggers, but ignore that part.
