In his early works his voice was much cleaner. He was close to being a crooner.

Yeah. I managed a message board, in the long long ago, with a ton of live bootlegs and his were always in demand. It’s crazy listening to his vocal change.

Maybe it's because I was a Maiden fanboy in high school and college, but nobody who covers Iron Maiden does it justice. It always just makes me want to listen to the original.

I'll throw in most covers of KISS songs. They do have energy, it just needs better musicians playing the music.

I find it hilarious that so many people are assmad over this take. Maiden is legendary and their songs are incredible. I think Craddle of Filth did a fantastic job. Cope and sneed.

Most of CoF’s other stuff is meh to bad. There are some bands like this. Alien Ant Farm is only memorable for their cover of Smooth Criminal. Cornershop, despite have having a great catalog, is probably best known for Fatboy Slim’s remix of Brimful of Asha.

Sometimes it depends on the mood. I think the original Last Caress from Misfits is a great song and recording, but I also love the NOFX cover.
