The Golden Pheasant is basically a tiny phoenix and I quite like it. But I just think Pheasants and Peafowls are neat as hell.

Yeah pheasants can be very pretty. Another really striking species would be the Lady Amherst's Pheasant.

Last gosling update this year. I'm going to be out of the country for a couple of months, so I won't be around when these guys fully grow up.
I'll document them again next year.

Grackle birds are niggers and are bullying all the cardinals and finches away from my feeders. I'll have to change up the food.
I can only associate grackles with irritating dyke "friends" of mine from the south/southwest so yeah them being nigger birds checks out.

Thread Tax: This mottled pink pigeon from Manchester. I don't know what makes it look like that but I think that's cool. Mutations in colouration are neat.

Yesterday morning at around 7 am I saw a tiny bird on a mossy patch on our walkway. Bird was rubbing its chest on the moss and started picking at it, flap its wings a couple of times to move forward.
Not a behaviour I have ever seen before.
It did that for 3 hours and I was starting to worry that it's unable to fly, and since cats (not @Cats ) frequently roam the area I wanted to make sure the bird is okay.
So I went out to check on in, bird sees me, and instantly flies off. Made a total fool of myself and had me worry for nothing.
Pretty awesome behaviour nonetheless, maybe it was getting the insects worked up in the moss with its grinding and flapping.
Love birds.

Cockatoos are such dicks lol

There's a cockatoo featured in some of the 'bird room' videos my African Gray gets to watch on his dedicated iPad - whenever that bird comes on, my feathered asshole loses his mind and lets loose with shrieks and cussing.

Saw a couple of vultures enjoying lunch on the way to work, no clue what it was but there was big chunks of it
