There is a big difference between saying, "I think the lawsuit contributed to him taking his life", and "BILLY MURDERED APOLLO!!" Billy, by the way, literally equated it to being accused of murder.

He also sued YouTuber Apollo Legend for $1,000,000. I haven’t spoken about this publicly but this lawsuit ultimately ended with Apollo giving in and settling with Mitchell. He was forced to remove all his videos about Mitchell’s cheating and paid him a large sum of money. This left him deeply in debt, which required him to find extra work, but with his ongoing health issues this was all too much of a burden and he ultimately took his own life. Not that Billy Mitchell would ever care, though. In fact, when Billy Mitchell thought Apollo died earlier he expressed joy at the thought. The lawsuit against Apollo was just as frivolous as the rest and Apollo definitely would have won in court, but again he was extremely ill and couldn’t handle the ongoing stress.

"with his ongoing health issues this was all too much of a burden and he ultimately took his own life", yes, getting served a $1,000,000 lawsuit, openly voicing distress in the subsequent video he posted, being forced to submit to a bully and take down all his relevant content, and dealing with the distress of such an ordeal along with health issues absolutely constitutes being "too much of a burden". And Apollo ultimately did take his own life. Karl didn't outright state that he ultimately took his own life only because of the financial distress. It's implied that the whole ordeal was a contributing factor.

I already said no money transfer took place and they settled out of court. It doesn't change the underlying premise, only raises a technicality. It's like saying, "well, Karl said Apollo was kicked in the face by Billy and went to the hospital and got 6 stitches, and that, with his ongoing health issues this was all too much of a burden and he ultimately took his own life. But he never got any stiches so its defamation." It's a technicality, and the incompetent judge got his panties in a bundle and couldn't tell the trees from the forest. What about getting kicked in the face to begin with? He couldn't see that Billy was clearly in the wrong here, and was feigning and exaggerating damages specifically to launch a defamation case. Did you not read his mocking words about Apollo when he heard a rumor he had died? The whole "I would never push a young, troubled man to suicide!" was such an act. And the judge fell for it.

Any competent judge would take one look at that case and Karl's statements, and rule that Billy's egregious actions and lawfare alone has caused his reputational damage and that he's clearly sue-happy and sought to damage Karl financially because of his critical content. He harped on one technicality and the judge was stupid enough to fall for Billy's antics.

This is the last I will write of this. You are welcome to maintain your conclusion but if I were the judge overlooking the case I most certainly would not have awarded Billy a victory, let alone such an audacious amount. I would have lectured Billy in court and told him to be a better person.
