The Amazing Digital Circus - Western Isekai that probably will become Hazbin Hotel killer
Decided to check this out to see for myself what all the hubbub is about
I'm not even 15 mins through the final episode and I can say with certainty that this is easily the worst fiction/story I have come across in this millennium
It manages to be worse than Parasite, Danganronpa, and Everything Everywhere All At Once
and I bet this is going to get even worse in the next 40 minutes

however, I can say that TADC is not meritless, it does serve as a sort of psychopath test
if someone watched the entire thing and their feelings about Jax are not overwhelmingly negative, it's almost certain there's something wrong with that person
like, seriously, the way, after episode 3 or 4, the entire show just bends over backwards to somehow pretend that this irredeemable abomination of a character is actually deserving of the most sympathy - if the writer wasn't a complete tranny this would 100% just be trolling or gaslighting, but given nooseworx, this is just AGP tranny wish fulfillment
be as abrasive and terrible and irredeemable as possible and yet somehow the entire world revolves around you and cares about you and lets everything slide and wants to be friends with you
it's such an insane ass-backwards attitude
like, really, this show is terrible, it's like a rugpull
Its not the first time Caine's VA talked about hating theories, and likely won't be the last time depending on whatever project he gets involved with in the future.
Do some people get too serious about theories? Sure. But aren't theories just an extension of expectations? When a story gives you crumbs of information alluding to what comes next, you can't help but piece them together and imagine the outcome based on your perception. The outcome you expect is usually going to be whatever it is you want out of the story, so if it turns out your prediction is wrong, you're either disappointed because the true outcome is disappointing, or happy because it EXCEEDED your expectations. What the fuck is the point of the mystery genre if we're not allowed to have expectations and theories about where the story was going next?
The Caine and Abel thing COULD have been an excellent moment to show how (albeit unintentionally) cruel Caine was, if standing up against Caine was a bigger focus, if we still got SOMEthing about C&A, and so on. Its none of those things, so the entire build up of Abel, the crumbs of info about C&A was almost a complete waste.
People aren't mad that they're theory was wrong, they're mad that this loose plot thread got a sucky conclusion. And then the main fandom, along with people like Alex here, dismisses the criticism by hiding behind the excuse of "You're expecting too much, stop expecting things, just open your mouth and swallow the slop or leave" and so on.
People predicted the SOMA theory from day 1, and even though the finale confirmed that it was correct, the finale still sucked. Its almost like the theories weren't the problem, it was Goose's shit writing.
As a side note, I found that post because it was reposted by JelloApocalypse, who also reposted this on his Tumblr
Which, yeah. I'll actually agree with that one. Glitch ain't escaping the merch allegations no matter how "necessary" it might be
I don't like that Jello reposted two things related to Digital Circus. I know he's friends with Gangle and did work for Glitch in the past, but the prospect of him cozying up to them and someday getting his own show (Possibly a continuation of his old web series) fucking terrifies me.
Especially because the voice actors were the first ones to be like ISN'T SHE LOVELY? JAX IS TRANS just before Goose's drawing. It shows me that their ilk sees the world in an entirely different light, even if it was something I already knew, to have it confirmed like this is something else
To be fair, I think the VAs were only first to confirm it in public. But it's very likely Goose told them behind the scenes. They did have access to the script first too.
Many of us suspected it after the leaks, but it felt more like an allegory. And even then you had to know Goose is trans to suspect there was a subtext.
Goose decided to go full on mask off after the finale on his Tumblr. In his own words he stopped caring. The VAs, as woke as they are, aren’t fortune tellers. I would bet they had a crying session, likely while readings the scrips, and Goose confessed “his trauma” hence the reason they knew.
Glitch is just slowly rediscovering being corporate.
Mainstream cartoons, the profitable ones, only exist too because they had merchandise deals. They just recouped the costs with ad revenue, and having Hasbro, Mattel or whomever sell the toys.
Glitch does the exact same thing, except they handle, most of, the merch directly, instead of a third party,
the way I see it, the movie is essentially made-for-Tiktok
as in, very rapid and brief nonsense over and over and over again, a perfect fit for a 10 second clip
They should probably stop revealing Behind-the-scenes stuff because it's starting to get kind of embarrassing. For any of you who speculated everything wasn't a meticulously crafted master plan: You're right! Episode 7 was heavily rewritten and who knows how much was changed in the final two episodes.
For me personally this explains so much. Not just way the finale feels like such a mess, but also why Episode 8 feels so tightly written and more satisfying despite being the penultimate episode: it went through more drafts. The scene where every single major character gets to yell their own special line at Caine feels like a "you need this" writing moment. The reason it feels more climatic and a bigger payoff than the actual finale is that it was rewritten with those aspects in mind.
But I imagine Goose and anyone else involved were a lot more hesitant to change the final script because that's what they were already building towards, and they were probably already running out of time.

Dude he spends most of the series as just a goofy piece of shit jerk you'd see in most comedy cartoon media that's like one of the least offensive or crazy things to enjoy ever. Issues arise when that's established as a coping thing and then they spend 3 fucking episodes focusing on it with him fucking abstracting offscreen in the finale and caine coming back for no fucking reason

Episode 7 was very obviously designed to be a response/troll towards theoryfags so I suspect a lot of the rewrites involved that aspect. The Abel character and how he was treated makes no sense if the episode has been scripted out from day one but does make a whole lot of sense if you consider it was Goose taking the piss out of the theorists.

See, you said trans "people." That implies troons are humans. They are not; they are vermin that destroy and corrupt all they touch. The world would literally be better overnight if the 41% became 100%.

It's really weird because the menacing background npc guy was there from the start and finding out that wasn't the initial plan for the episode makes it even stranger as to what the fuck his deal was gonna be before the rewrites.
Also could people stop using the fact I no longer have report button access to try and shit up every thread I post in with nothing but inflammatory shit? thanks. I'm not replying to any of your shit lmao.
"Aw jeez Lois, your family is coming over during the big game? This is more upsetting then the time I put on that weird headset I found in that abandon office building."

I would only excuse children, but I reckon even they think his whole scene in the finale was corny.
As for Jax, even Goose himself calls Jax out and to be fair with him has consistently not sugar coated his flaws. He even has called him a piece of shit.
The issue is that Goose excuses him because everything he does as a male doesn't count. He admits he is bad, but his idea of redemption is wearing a dress, not any kind of regret or sincere apology. For Goose, Jax can only become a better person by changing gender.
Goose admits Jax never takes accountability but fails to notice that blaming it on his gender, or his mother is also a cowardly way of escaping accountability.
