The Matrix shit is just funny because it's so blatantly untrue that only troons themselves buy into it. Everyone else just turned around and went "no it fucking wasn't".

No, you know which one pisses me off? The Celeste one. I'm still convinced that only happened because the speedrunners got to MattMakesGames and started grooming him (and I've seen packs of troons groom game devs into changing their games before). Note that the same update that retconned the protag girl as trans (a good couple years after release too, if I recall) was also the same update that added wavedashing to the game as a mandatory mechanic to get through some later levels. And the speedrunner and Meleefag communities (of which there is a major overlap) are filled with troons and sex pests.

Fucking shame, because I think there might have been merit to a game about exploring one's self-worth while moving through increasingly challenging but manageable levels as a way to build the player up. But as we saw with Jax here, why have a study in self-esteem targeted towards young people when you can encourage them to irreparably damage their bodies with hormone drugs instead?

I'm becoming convinced that they keep doing this because they know the fad will die out if they don't keep luring fresh blood into it with regular sacrifices of popular characters to the gender altar like this. Celeste girl, Bridget, Vivian, and now Jax. Looking at the trend, it's not even just male characters. The characters can be originally male or originally female, just so long as they end up haphazardly retconned as MtF by the end. Again: you ain't seen this shit for FtM.

Fuck, even with Goose being a tranny, I don't think she even intended to explicitly confirm it until the troon horde pressured her to. I'm just disappointed in her for caving rather than standing by the ambiguity. I legit think it'd have been a worthwhile endeavor if she'd left it ambiguous if it meant encouraging the audience to approach the whole issue more critically and evenhandedly, but the genderfreaks probably didn't like the idea of people putting more than a minute of thought into it if it meant potentially realizing any flaws in the cult's sales pitch.

Zooble irritated me. I accepted the character as the show's obligatory token genderfuck so as to fulfill the quota imposed by nature of this being a Western-made cartoon created after 2009, with my reasoning being "okay, at least Zooble can act as the lightning rod for all the preachy SJW soapbox shit and the rest of the cast can be actual characters." Fuck, that's part of why the whole Jax thing felt so unnecessary, since we already had our "literally me frfr uwu" Tumblr character.

But my issue is that Zooble is never once made out to be in the wrong. Every single other character has at least one moment where you're meant to see them as the one acting unreasonable, often with another character explicitly calling them out on it (even if it's just a non-combative acknowledgement like "oh Kinger's being insane again" or Caine resignedly suffering Bubble's antics). But Zooble never loses any arguments or is ever made to look stupid, instead being the unfailing "Tumblr wisdom dispenser" despite being the second-youngest human after Jax and the second-newest player after Pomni. The most we get is a single line in the eighth episode where after spending the entire series being needlessly snide towards Caine, once Caine flips his shit, Zooble delivers a single line of "oh whoops maybe I shouldn't have antagonized him so much" and Gangle immediately plays it off with an "it's not your fault". What the fuck? It was almost entirely Zooble's fault!

Like, fuck man. Even Brian Griffin was written to take a higher density of Ls than that.

No regrets, fuckwrench. Doesn't discount the problems I had with the finale or its aftermath, but I still enjoyed my time seeing it at the theater.
