I read the transcript of the final episode. I expected at least 5 uncensored swear words from 9 but the most we got was "goddammit"
Boring. What was the point of Zooble swearing at the end of episode 8 when they don't take advantage of that freedom the episode after? Guess they were too sad to swear?

Imagine if "Melancholy of Haruki Suzumiya" was taken as an inspiration for show's premise instead.
Specifically the summer festival arc, where characters end up going through the similar motions for thousands of times, not knowing they're stuck in a loop.
The whole thing is just an experiment to test the limits of human psyche.
Abstractions comes as a result of abnormal stress, realizing you've gone through the same motions thousand times over.
Perhaps someone you knew abstracted before you and your memory had to be suppressed to keep you from abstracting yourself.
Purpose of Caine is simply to entertain for as long as he can. Despite being nothing but a cold machine at the beginning he starts to understand the struggles the characters go through and later sympathize with them.
Have Jax be re-written to push others away because he witnessed two of his best friends abstracted and yet cannot really recall it until some memory leak due to faulty tech.
Make the entire show focused around the "Allegory of the Demon", where it asks if you could cope living through the same motions for eternity without realizing it or be struck down be despair of the revelation.

Seeing how others shared their takes of rewritting plot of TADC, I wanted to share my take as well

I just want to say that there were too many goddamned children in the screening i went to, which wouldn't be so bad if a fucking toddler wasn't right behind me and was doing little kid stuff for the first 30 mins.
Also the C&A stuff is very obviously sequel bait but then it doesn't make sense for them to dedicate the last act to the Jax plot, maybe they want to do something with the sequel being so they can "save" Jax or some inane shit like that.

That's what happens when you rate your supposed adult show PG on Netflix.
 
One funny aspect of the finale is how two doors in Jax's mindscape are boarded up. One is heavily implied to contain a "What if Pomni abstracted?" scenario (given that the scene contains scenarios for Zooble, Gangle, and Ragatha), and one is heavily implied to contain an openly transgender version of Jax (given that he starts knocking after the "no girls allowed" line & all the other Jax version try their hardest to shut him out).

Does that mean that Jax would have transitioned if Pomni abstracted?
Him instantly trooning out after his girlfriend killed herself (likely due to his own actions) is so on the nose, it's hilarious. That type of skinwalking happens so often in real life, it's basically a Kiwifarms classic at this point.

You guys think that in that scenario, trans Jax would have started to use white makeup and demanded that everyone should call him "Pompom"?

I like to believe that instead of forcing him to be with Caine and the circus, he allowed him to go into the Void and make his own domain, since the circus is Caine's kingdom, let Bubble have his own. What would he do with it is anyone's guess, could he perhaps access the obsolete brain files and make his own versions of Scratch, Pomni and the rest? Could he perhaps go to war with the circus? Sequel bait possibilities!

I've said a couple of times now that if Glitch management had smarts they'd buy the TADC IP wholesale from Goose right now when he's sick to death of it for however many millions he wants from it, and start writing series 2, retconning what was stupid about ep9 (most of it) and working with what was left to have a now sane Caine leading the brainscans to uncover the ACTUAL meta-story that Caine never actually knew about himself and discovering the true secrets behind the circuis, drip-feeding the metastory over at least 4 more seasons to just fucking print money. A war against Abel/Bubble's creations in the Void caused by them sneak-attacking would make a killer story arc for one of these seasons!

Genius maneuver would be to make the first episode establish that the ENTIRE Episode 9 was actually part of Caine's AM style torturing, and totally undercut everything. Re-establish the plot threads and have it actually make sense. The first episode might be a little bulky, maybe annoy some people, but who cares? The whole second season should then be about both Caine AND the cast trying to figure out what is going on.

Maybe that's a little asspully, but Episode 9 is hard to really do anything from in my opinion.

the real question if they even attempt to make a second season would be if they would have the balls to do the retconning, including Tranny Jax and all the post-episode 9 shit Gooseworx has tacked onto him?, that and all of the stupid shit in the 9th episode will only become the perverbial noose that hangs the show if they even attempt to continue it at all, assuming they just don't immediately relegate TADC into promo cameo fodder like Murder Drones has.
