The Amazing Digital Circus - Western Isekai that probably will become Hazbin Hotel killer

All the lore dumping on social media and I'm surprised no-one's trying to pull a severe asspull like "See the reason they're all brain scans is because this is actually just a test by Aperture Science and they're gonna pull the plug on 'em the minute they've concluded that nothing new's gonna happen"

It's like how disney sequel star wars kept adding on retroactive shit after it ended where palpatine was somehow a reassembled corpse in the extra material but then they changed it to him being a clone int he novelization and then was just him again with nothing else and then maybe a clone again in some other thing

It's one of those shows that wants to be mature, but thinks violence and swearing is what that means.

There are other shows actually aimed at children that discuss mature topics more respectfully than this one does.
I brought up the hotwheels tv show timeskip drug deal gone wrong subplot thing like two times already while explaining this kind of thing lmao. Apparently forgot the first time before the recent instance was also talking about how these indie shows aren't actually mature in comparison tot he shit from the time they're yanking inspiration from.

I got curious as to how Gooseworx's intended audience was responding to the tranny reveal, and...

I hate them so fucking much its unreal.

Goose responds to someone that any pronoun is fine for jax, which feels like a cop out excuse to not deal with the inevitable pronoun fallout. I expected more balls from you goose.

>It was meant to be subtle and vague

First, haha what a story goose!

:story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story::story:

Second, WHY DIDN'T YOU KEEP IT SUBLE AND VAGUE THEN?? WHY DID YOU GO ONLINE EXPLAIN EVERYTHING? WHY DIDNT YOU TRUST YOUR OWN AUDIENCE TO INTERPRET YOUR WORK?

It's all so much worse the more i try to process it. Explicitly saying it was suicide means the abstractions are dead. Why not give Jax a funeral and lock him or put him out of his misery? Why did they turn Jax corpse into a literal circus freak pet?

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. I’m in my 30s now and people my age were absolutely spoiled for quality media when we were growing up and we didn’t realize it. Everything was better. Shows, games, music, books (especially books DEAR GOD), etc. As you said, the usual suspects have normalized slop to the point that the younger generations will accept this shallow, sanitized dogshit in all of its forms. I’m sure every generation thinks that the “new stuff” is bad, but I think this time is different. The kids aren’t alright.
i've watched Obsession and it's a really good movie

Y'know something that makes no sense to me now that I'm thinking about it.
What happened with C&A's employees on the outside, why'd they go under? Why'd they not take their brainscans home with them? They're on a computer program, surely they could've moved these computers and programs around to new locations. What was the Circus like when they were working there? It seems really stupid and out-of-character for someone like Kinger or Queener to scan themselves in and not take a mote of interest in their digital selves. I know thats not the point of the show, but these are 90's computer geeks, did none of C&A's employees bother to try and play with their simulated selves like a fucked up version of Tomodachi Life? Were the early adventures made by employees entering prompts? Were NPC's the way they'd interact with the Circus? Given they're brain scans who think they're the actual people inside the circus, would it mindfuck them to have their real flesh-and-blood selves talk with them?
I'm still trying to figure out how the hell Gangle even got brainscanned. Did the force from getting hit by the truck launch her through a window into C&A's offices, where she slammed into the desk, and the headset just happened to fall off the table directly onto her head?

What's worst of all to me is there is no real conclusion to this. "They're brainscans." Okay, and? There's no conclusion to their story arcs. I don't care that they're brainscans, the important part is that I want to know what they do to fix the predicaments they're in. Instead of fixing anything, they put their dead friends' bodies in an aquarium (???? Why? What does this possibly represent about suicide?) and just go on living like nothing happened, trapped forever, and doomed to eventually kill themselves too, or be killed when whatever digital world they're trapped in no longer has electricity?

It's got the hallmarks of some of the most rushed, bullshit endings in all of fiction, and it will go down in history as genuinely a TERRIBLE ending to a franchise that people had high hopes for. Bravo, tranny. Abstract yourself.
Yeah, "And then they went on adventures forever and ever" does not feel like an actual ending. Even if they're not "real" people, surely there's more they can do than just the same routines forever.

The biggest gripe I have with the ending is that there's no answer to abstraction, someone just goes postal one day and that's it. Not even a hint that they can be restored. It makes the ending seem way more bleak than it was probably intended.

Funny how troons seem more desperate to have men and women conform to traditional gender roles than anyone.
Trannies all have to be pretty, frilly little girls, and pooners all have to be macho, bearded manly men.

By the way, why would anyone after the OG cast use a brainscanner or a headset? I can get maybe an urban explorer fiddling around with it, but there's got to be a number of warnings, hazard labels, or the fact it's a probably filled with spiders and bugs that'd make people less likely to put that on their head. If anything the Circus should be a dead world, or one with only Caine, the other programs, and a slowly dissolving scan of Kingers brain.
BTW if Caine has access to the files- because this seems stupid that the brainscans get used once and deleted, there should be a 'repository' of brainscan data, at the least some Day 1 files. If anything it'd make sense to 'reincarnate' people over and over, a subtle horror that these guys can't ever 'die'. Are these even the same 'people' anymore after they've been re-scanned and rebuilt for the 500th time? An infinite number of Kingers, Scratches, Ribbits, Kaufmos, and more that'd lived and died in a circus with a ringmaster that can't comprehend death.

Y'know what, gimme a few million dollars, I wanna remake TADC but with a better premise.
