I want to talk how retarded is for Troonworx to think that SOMA reveal is somehow some dramatic revelation.

GLITCH - THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS PILOT [HwAPLk_sQ3w - 1836x1033 - 24m49s].png

This is the last shot in the pilot. A PC in an abandoned office with a VR headset on the table. Only from this, if you are not a retard, you can confidently deduce that IRL Pomni put on a headset, saw nothing interesting, took it off, and fucked off, while PC just got a new brain scan.

This, + the fact that "trapped" Pomni would have died of dehydration in 5 days, makes the SOMA case rock solid, and the cast should have figured it out a long time ago, just by asking each other questions.

Since the pilot, Troonworx made zero (0) red herrings to make us doubt SOMA ( Ep 7 does not count ), and him presenting SOMA as the last episode as shocking revelation is fucking insulting.

I've been lurking /co/, twitter and blue sky over the past couple hours, anytime someone brings up these blatant and objective flaws the consistent go-to main response to all of this has been straight up.
>it doesn't matter
Which honestly is fine, they're the ones admitting the whole thing is meaningless nihlistic slop, not me, my honest apologies for expecting something more than literally fucking nothing.
This extends to even simple in-universe logic like, "How has this abandoned building been receiving power for decades with no one at the utility company noticing?"
Their reaction is to just immediately pivot to, "That's not the point of the story. Who cares? Maybe the company was never abandoned at all. Shut up and dilate."
Literally, all these people care about is their own self-validation.

It's also really fucking contrived for the brain scans to remember everything from their human lives except their names for some odd reason.

what a trip to see an actually potentially interesting setting only to barely do anything with it all the while the bulk of the personal issues the cast faces has nothing to do with the place they're trapped in, the pilot hooked me in because it led me to believe that the circus has been slowly eating away their humanity and there's now this idea hanging over everybody is the fact that anyone could die (abstract) if they lose their grip.

But, no, actually, it was Jax that caused most of the problems and Caine just refusing to listen to anyone until he does.

bravo goose

I keep looking back to the pilot over and over again, the potential of the premise really hooked me in when it first came out because I felt there was so much you could do from the setting.

It isn't just power, it it's how a dozen people keep breaking in, put on the headset, then leave without destroying or stealing the clearly working computer. Especially a punk like Jax. And if the company is still active then why don't people remember getting an offer to try on a headset?

If you are going to do the SOMA twist just go all in. The company bought a bunch of medical brainscans to test their AI on and Caine activates one every once in a while to mix things up (cleans up the retarded abandoned computer pothole). Have the the last thing a character remembers is either an accident that leaves them with a traumatic head injury (Gangle's truck accident), getting a scan done for brain cancer (Scratch), or have them remeber nothing at all. It will explain why all the characters have diverse backgrounds and early on have the characters discuss theories from this is actually the afterlife to this is a special experimental therapy for coma patients.

Literally anything other than the fucking headset!

Holy fuck! This was terrible!

I only skimmed through the leaks for the major events, but seeing the entirety of episode 9 in one go is a different experience.

Many things were handled just horribly. The brain scan reveal happened in the very beginning without any buildup, and the rest of the episode was just therapy talk and crying. Jax abstracting offscreen was also one of the many mind-boggling decisions since he was the only character in the entire show who had an actual personality. Furthermore, revealing Jax's traumas at the end of the series right after he abstracts instead of revealing them earlier makes both the traumas and the abstraction way less impactful. And to top it off, they made him a fucking doghouse. Caine was handled better, but they still made weird decisions regarding him. For example, he just summons Scratch back into the circus, and nothing is done with him; we don't see him in any other scene, nobody talks about him, etc. You could literally remove that scene and nothing would change except for making things less confusing. The Instagram Reels section was not a bad idea, I admit, but its execution was way too cheesy in my opinion.

The pilot promised me a story about humans trapped in a digital world trying to escape it, and I got a show that almost forgot about this plot point because Cooper thought focusing on the traumas of these underdeveloped characters was more important. People who cared more about the nature of the circus were backstabbed. You know which episode didn't have any trauma dumping? The pilot! Every other episode had lengthy trauma dumping but the pilot. This isn't what I've signed up for. I wanted to see how they could escape this digital hell, and what I got is the most unsatisfying fake-out I've ever seen and an extremely anticlimactic conclusion for that plot. Kinger just tells the audience there's no escape because he was sane. Pomni could've put a bucket on Kinger at any point after episode 3 and had him interrogated, and they could've reached the same conclusion. Every character was handled rather poorly; only Jax managed to have a complex personality in the end, but they managed to fuck that up as well.

In summary, Cooper somehow made his cartoon worse than Murder Drones. The autistic robot cartoon managed to stay true to the premise established in the pilot, robots committing extreme violence, and had an actual plot with a proper conclusion. These are two things TADC failed to do. MD is still flawed due to its pacing issues and extremely cringe dialogue, but it has a proper story and doesn't fool the audience. Also, why would one watch a cartoon about poorly written characters trauma dumping on each other when one can watch a different cartoon about poorly written characters beating the crap out of each other? One of these choices is clearly more entertaining.

TL;DR: Cooper cannot write; robobooty cartoon > clussy cartoon

I wonder whats gonna happen to that one dutch pooner that named 'himself' Jax (after Jax Digital Circus) now that its technically been a female name all along
Don't forget Lindsay Jones from what used to be Rooster Teeth. How's that big revival going, Burnie? Still just posting the occasional podcast to a site with ten visitors a day?

I remember listening to "Your New Home" on repeat for a while, because it's a damn good song. Shame no other music in the series ever came close to it after that, as if Goose just completely gave up on the OST after the pilot.

jax getting cucked even in the "good ending" is truly diabolical.
also ig that confirms what trannies and kiwifarmers knew for a month now.
What is this? What the absolute fuck is this?
This is fucking retarded. There's no other word for it. Dude is literally just making fun of the entire premise and point of fucking everything.
He's even mocking the most popular ship in the series by having Pomni get with the frog (funny how Ribbit is referred to as "she" in-universe, but "they" otherwise; can almost guarantee that Glitch demanded Goose keep the in-universe they/thems to a single character).
Holy shit, someone shoot me.

Holy shit. You know what's the really funny part about this? This feels like a piece of fanart made by a weirdo fan who's obsessed with shipping these characters together, while projecting their weird fantasies onto them.
But no. It's made by the creator, who's clearly getting off to this. Absolutely fucking wild.

You know the only reason Goose posted this is so that all future R34 Jax art will be of the fucking tranny design.
This entire thing is literally just one long jerk-off session.

Oh, no doubt about it.
Like, on principle, I don't mind a creator making characters they find hot or attractive. But the way that all of this is clearly a self masturbatory exercise ruins any charm that the show might've once had.

God is dead, we killed him, but he came back and said he will be nicer to us this time.

Is The Amazing Digital Circus just a weird autistic retelling of the story of Jesus Christ and the New Covenant?
In some ways you could say this.

At the end of the pilot episode Pomni is at the middle of the dinner table in Christ's position during the Last Supper.

By the end of the series she has God agreeing to a new covenant with man (and transwoman). Although in this case she plays the role of Judas to become Christ.
Perhaps this is a reference to the discarded Gospel of Judas that I have neither read or know anything about. The series ending at a more egalitarian and inclusive table with God could be seen as peace and even friendship with God being achieved.

Top tier analysis and review, fam.

So much about this ep was poorly edited, you are far from the only one to get confused about the 'Scratch' segment.

This was actually a flashback, he was remembering finding the abandoned obsolete brainscan files, working on 'Mike Dobby' to turn the scan into a viable AI simulation named 'Scratch' and moving him into the 'digital circus' environment he had created.

After this, with no proper transition, he started searching out the names and details about the people behind the other brainscan files that he had turned into AI sims over the wifi connection, and goes on so long doing this that his connection drops and he returns to the void, does the Superman III shit and kicks out his 'Evil' side Abel/Bubble and then runs back to the circus.

Just like how it was unclear about Jax abstracting off-screen, it took me 2 watchings to realize that it wasn't just some abstraction that had escaped confinement in 'the cellar' with Caine having being poofed and all the holes in the circus appearing. The editing in this ep was SHIT.

ETA: OH one more thing I don't think has been mentioned yet. Although it's vaguely possible that an extremely powerful supercomputer containing multiple neural maps and advanced AIs could have existed in the late 1990s with enough money behind it, wifi as a standard or for that matter any networking over anything but ethernet or coaxial cable did NOT. At least not as anything that wasn't experimental and would have no bearing on or need to be installed on a 3D rendering, brain-scanning, AI hosting supercomputer!

With that tranny Jax post, I think we can officially change the thread title, because the only thing this series is killing is the concept of subtlety.
Congrats, Viv. You are officially less of a self-obsessed libtard with mommy issues than the literal tranny. Applause.
