Guys, serious question.
Is there a SINGLE original concept or design in the entire show? The more I read this thread the less sure I am that there is.
No. Next question.

Are they really believe about being this crap as Hazbin Hotel's killer? Both piles of shit shoot themselfes in the head at record time.

One of the main reasons I tuned out of this show was because I found the aggressive merchandising/marketing/etc. by Glitch increasingly off-putting. Keep in mind, they're doing stuff like this while constantly pushing the whole "Hey, we're a small indie animation studio taking on the big guys at Disney/DreamWorks/etc.!" angle.

Everything I have seen from Glitch has made me think that they're rank opportunists. They want to become as big as Pixar. They're currently in the "Evil corporation before they've had the power to become evil" stage. Like, you can tell exactly what they want to be, they just haven't actually got there yet. Releasing this in theaters was clearly a move to signal "We want you to get used to the idea of us being a big deal in the animation industry".

Now, I don't begrudge them that. But when they're always talking about how they're the underdogs, all while hawking merch at every available opportunity, opening pop-up stores in Tokyo, and getting episodes (not even proper movies) of their shows in cinemas, I'm surprised more people haven't soured on them already. They released a plushie of Gummigoo (a minor supporting character, by the way) the same day the episode with his first appearance was released.
A theatrical release of the finale isn't a bad idea, theaters need all the help they can get. They made episode 9 an hour long so even if they didn't tack on episode 8 it would be an acceptable length for a smaller animated movie. But damn you were not kidding with the merch. Does the show really need THREE VINYL RECORDS!?

The cover art looks fine, but this show didn't really have an OST that stood out at all. Outside of maybe the credits I can't really recall a song from the series and I just finished watching it.

In fairness, I have heard a lot more people IRL bring up this show and have not heard a single soul bring up Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss since the pilot.

It wouldn't let me quote your most recent post, but, is this supposed to be intentional?

Holy fucking esl, wtf

Basically, choosing between Moloch and Baal

Hey, don't blame me, I Voted 4 Kodos

No, it did not.

Hellaverse is way more explicitly sexual, so it has a certain taboo nature to it that TADC doesn't, despite its creator being just as much of a pervert.

Bro, the Hellaverse is just teenager level edgy, fym "taboo"? Normies already aren't watching indie animation

It’s a generational thing. Zoomers are used to animation being more “adult” because of watching the animes and shows like Archer or whatever growing up, and there is interest in seeing the people we remember from online make shows that go on TV because right now it’s a novelty and we’re seeing how the transition from online to TV goes.
So far, fair to middling.

Now saying this takes some serious balls. As for the rest of the comment, B A S E D
Gonna have to second that; I Have No Mouth always smacked edgelord to me, considering the only things I know of it from cultural osmosis alone are that the computer talks for way too fucking long about how it HATE HATE HATE HATE HATES humanity and has a woman get ape-raped in an elevator.

AM is just the digitized version of Eliot Roger, and humanity's last laugh making the machine a turboangst incel virgin for all eternity sounds more like unintentional comedy than anything else. It's Revenge of the Nerds meets Terminator and I have no idea why nobody else finds that as funny as I do.

I didn't even know they were selling records now. Sorry, not records. "Vinyls", as they're known to the kids who are buying these who don't even own a record player.

Honestly, this is kinda perfect. The 'vinyl revival' is something else that I (and likely many others) got cold feet with after it became very aggressively commercialized. I was probably one of the first people who started collecting records. Used to love it. Haven't bought one since before COVID.

The novelty of collecting records in, say, 2014 was that they were an obsolete, forgotten format that had distinct quirks and charms that no one really cared about. You could buy them in bulk in charity shops for next to nothing. When musicians started releasing new albums on vinyl around that time, it was genuinely a bit of a novelty. But now it feels like vinyl has been 'revived' for so long that the charm is gone, and all we're left with is a music format that's honestly a bit shit. It was superseded by CDs and digital music files for a reason. You start to remember that the "quirks" were actually just shortcomings.

It feels like a perfect example of what Mark Fisher meant when he said that the cancellation of the future does not even leave us with the past. No matter how cool old stuff from the past is, when it's rehashed repeatedly, it will become monotonous.

If you squint close enough, there's probably a better message buried within there about the boredom of a comfortable eternity than there is in TADC itself.

Also, interesting side-fact: Glitch, being based in Australia, has apparently received extensive funding from the Australian government. Y'know, one of those "support local artists" bursaries governments like to hand out. The fact that what are by far Glitch's two biggest franchises, TADC and Murder Drones, are both made by Americans apparently makes no difference. I dunno, but if I were an Aussie I'd have a few questions about where my tax money is going.

Most of that's just from the video game. The story itself is pretty short, they had to pad it out with a heap of shit. I'm not sure AM ever even speaks in the original.

Mixtape also got Australian government funding. I think they just throw money at anyone as long as there is an Australian somewhere in the creative process.

Saw that there was finally a torrent of the leak and decided to rip the bandage off. And oh boy, I'm glad I didn't give Nooseworx a dime. Here's the scatershot of takes, most of them ⏰ but still.

The fact that Ribbit immediately jumped to the "Jax dreams about ripping his wiener off" conclusion instead of "he's faggot (at the worst case scenario)", speaks something about Cooper, not sure what exactly, but it speaks, loudly.

It was haram to even show a glimpse of IRL's faces.

I took abrupt Jax's abstraction for a quirk of a leak, i thought it was not a full version.

Cane was just teleported into the void at the end of EP8, what a fucking waste of a moment.

Bruh.

The SOMA was obvious from the first episodes, and Cooper did not bothered to put any red herrings to doubt SOMA.

You can kill a man.... But not the idea.

lost managed to do something that the clown show couldn't

have a likable character and not have therapy speak every 10 minutes

Well the A.M. speech is cool

I don't think A.M. talks about sex except maybe once? For him it's more being a machine With no body or feelings whose only purpose is war, and it drives him fucking insane

Well I'm told what I know of the story comes from the video game, but I'm still of the mind that if I were Ted I'd shove AM into a locker, fuck his girl, make varsity as QB, then come back and give him an atomic wedgie + swirlie combo for being such a weirdo edgelord loser dorknerd who plays too much 40k.

What I'm getting at is that I'd bully that poindexter so hard that he'd program himself a dick to cut off and 41%.
