TADC failed as a horror show, but if they dropped the "adult" pretense and fully embraced it's kids audience, removing all the fetishes and therapy, it has the potential to be an even bigger money printer for GLITCH. Kids would absolutely consume more episodes
For all of its other faults it had slick animation and lots of technically clever visual gags, eg when random objects start clipping through the floor and going haywire. And honestly the show had pretty decent writing when it was still in its adventure of the week format. The problem is that Gooseworx clearly had no idea how to write outside of short indie animations; once the show started thinking it was a serious story with serious ideas it devolved to a bunch of disjointed wikibait wankery.

To be fair to Glitch (who I hate), Epic's done collabs for Fortnite with Skibidi Toilet, Tung Tung Tung Sahur and Lethal Company. This shouldn't be surprising
Guess I'm in the minority when I saw the Fortnite Crossover is something is something I take absolutely zero issue with. It's ridiculous, but standard practice for merchandising companies. Jax and Pomni shooting at Naruto and Terminator inspires zero emotion in me, positive or negative.
Fornite is supposedly dying, and is deserate to grab any attempt at relevance. Throwing a bunch of money at glitch for TADC characters sounds perfectly in character.

Why is it that some pieces of media feels the need to obscure Goose's face?
I suspect the real reason is because they're a troon and don't want to make troons look bad.

The better reason, one that journos and social media people try to ruin, is the idea that the creator should be partly anonymous or have a shtick/kayfabe they want to maintain.

I'm old enough to have seen so many of these "epic mystery and lore" products come and go. Inevitably the big epic reveal is a wet fart and the flavor of the month show/comic/book/whatever immediately becomes culturally irrelevant. Same magic trick different group of enraptured teenagers. Itchy and Scratchy never get to the fireworks factory guys.
You're talking about mystery box story telling, which isn't want TADC is. They had an ending in mind, and dropped hints to it throughout the show. Mystery boxes like Lost are where the writer keeps adding cool unexplained twists, and then never answering them. This is why the Star Wars sequel trilogy and MCU post endgame sucked.

Hard to tell what's a worse fate: becoming an unrecognizable monster or becoming Fortnite DLC.
Well, with abstraction, they seem to lose consciousness completely. It's as if they're brain-dead. Off the top of my head, with being in Fortnite, they'd be snapshots (the official term for loop clones; I know the wiki and lore state that the loop isn't a thing anymore, but for all intents and purposes, it's still a thing in order for the skins and collabs to make sense) once they leave the loop. This is shown in Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point Issue 6. As shown in issues 1 through 3, they would remember feelings such as relationships and muscle memory. They would ultimately just be doomed to fight forever. Now this is just speculation on my part, but I think most collabs just return to whence they came right after being added to Fortnite, unless they have story relevance.

would you guys rather watch jack and jill or the clown show

both are incredibly boring but at least jack and jill has norm macdonald the clown show has nothing

jack and jill is also like 80 minutes long
Clussy show. It's not good, but there are lots of little neat ideas or shit done so horribly you can't help but think of ways to improve it that makes it intresting to talk about. Jack and Jill is just bad and only exists to embezzle money.
unless they have story relevance.
This is the only example of fortnite being canon I can think of. The message they talk about in the movie was the fortnite event. So I guess there are battle royal tournaments in SW.

When the series started, I really thought they would treat it more like a looming and inevitable threat, like witches in Madoka Magica.
The concept is a complete rip-off without alteration, its just the way its inserted doing different and the difference/handling is like night and day.

As Jax was ACKstracting and loresperging at Pomni, I was thinking of how much better Madoka Magica handled the 'regret and becoming a monster' thing in the Rebellion movie when Homura realized she had become a witch then was managed in the finale of TADC, which had to be 40 minutes of Jax backstory dumping instead of a couple minutes of evocative highly symbolic images and a few poignant sentences which got the point across crystal clear.

That movie is mid imo.
Great fucking visuals, but the plot is a mess, also fight scenes are ass, visuals and soundtrack carry hard, try rewatch Homura and mami fighting, and you'll notice how 90% of it is just close-ups of them shooting in the air.
I still liked it, but the original series was just better.
Also one thing I want to add is that tv series in general have become so ass that TADC is considered good by most people.
And to be fair, when you come alongside shit like the boys and the hellaverse, you start to see why people start to appreciate what's basically a mediocre cross of Madoka Magica and the big forehead cartoon, where neither gets reference because its more hip to reference The end of evangelion and I have no mout and I must scream.

I'm aware of what 'mystery box story telling' is. I'm more refering to media whose main appeal lies in the slow trickle of lore and mystery with the promise of a huge reveal right around the next corner. I've seen many shows lean heavily on that as a gimmick and end up as duds because the juice wasn't worth the squeeze.

lost far exceeds the clown show in quality

sole episodes have more worth than the clown show

LOST was really good until the writer's strike. Some idiot(s) had the great idea to not take a haitus, but keep the show going while the majority of their writers were on the streets picketing. After the strike was over, the plot had to crawl back from some of the worst writing in television history, but it was too late.

Anyway, the alternate and real episode 9 that Glitch will upload onto their youtube channel June 19th just leaked:

(really good is height tadc never came close to reaching)

The 400IQ play was that the 9 eps of TADC were the serialized "special" episodes, whereas the content farm videos were the episodic one-off adventures that this show desperately needed.

I don't think Pomni will get a Victory Royale against Peter Griffin and Tung Tung Tung Sahur because by the sounds of it that is a 2 v 1 and considering Peter Griffin's prior performance against the Giant Chicken we can probably presume he has much more expertise in the area of battle than Pomni has.

As much as I hate Jack and Jill, this clip alone offered more enjoyment than the entirety of the finale

less dying more self destructing to try and chase any short term profit. They made the microtransactions and subscription give you a lot less content with the excuse of "Oh we need to fund the game and inflation" and then fired a ton of their original dev staff and hired outsourced indians at the same time IIRC so like the game's been ridiculously buggier than usual in some cases. Whenever I load into a game lately if I've got a dual wield pickaxe for example, my character's hands vanish and get replaced with baseball bats till the battle bus launches. I've seen much, much worse bugs but that one stands out to me because of how baffling it is.

They're clearly throwing collabs at the wall lately moreso than usual. You can tell when the collab has fuckall to do with the in-game lore because they usually put effort into the "why are they here" whenever they add skins. Recent shit like Kim Kardashian had no buildup, no in-game reason, she's just in the item shop and there's some expensive promo talking about how they put her in fortnite. For contrast, Tung Tung Tung Sahur IS in there for a reason but it's less in game and more a cameo in a promo video for the season where he's partying with the rest of the guys on the island. He's just there to chill and have a good time and that's better than fucking no canon explanation.

Got dragged to the movie by friends today. Not friends anymore. Mid af, very rushed pacing. They had 8 previous episodes to tell this shit and there was no reason to shove it all in the last episode.

The "jax may be trans" scene made me laugh tho because it reminded me of the doctor strange movie where they have america chavez's lesbian mom's in one scene for 12 seconds before they get sucked into a black hole and are never mentioned again. All so they can easily edit it out for the chink audience. Also, they keep calling him a man even after he ACKs. Lmao.

The levels of lesbian bait in the episode also tells me goose is a man who REALLY wants to be transbians with someone.

Overall: bad pacing, bad editing, bad script writing (tons of really awkward lines), lore was not worth it, lots of dead air moments, extreme disappointment. The characters dont even really change in the end, they just wait for someone to tell them they don't have to and are perfect as they are.

That said, I got a kick out of the audience. I sat dead center in the theater: in the front were predictably all middle school girls, but behind me were a group of old fat guys. Strangely enough, it was the girls talking about the world building and lore after the movie, while the old men were giddily discussing the gender and trans shit. In the very front were a disgruntled old wheelchair bound couple who I think originally meant to watch the he-man movie one theater over.
