The Amazing Digital Circus - Western Isekai that probably will become Hazbin Hotel killer
The reviews seem to be extremely mixed, but the positive reviews seem to not really expand on why they like it. Rottentomatoes is looking suspicious, like people are just giving it positive reviews because it's indie. Me and the majority of my friends despise this ending.

The "Jax is trans" theory has been floating around for a while now. However, in the scene in question, there's literally nothing that suggests Jax is a closeted trans person. Ribbit putting the bow on his head comes off more as a friendship gesture than anything else, and when we see the real Jax at the end, he's still a guy. It's funny that even though the theory is all but deconfirmed, they've decided to huff copium about it.
It just really needed another draft, it played out like a rough layout for set pieces GW wanted in the finale rather than a movie that included them, and the fix would have been so fucking easy.
Okay, pick up where Pomni notices Jax walking away. Instead of doing nothing and her voice over saying "Oopsie, looks like I picked a bad time to forget my life mantra of helping" she actually does go after Jax.
She goes after Jax and finds him, but it's too late. He's partially abstracting, like the figurine they are trying to sell. Now there is narrative tension. Can she say save him before the process completes? He's dying not dead. In her desperation she makes that last attempt to reach out, not knowing what the risks or consequences will be; she gets sucked into his mindscape.
You can still show all the mindscape bullshit, except the audience thinks this might actually make a difference. Maybe she can patch up the mental wounds and he can pull through. Maybe she can reach him,
Ultimately, you could have it either way. She could succeed and you could have an abstracted scarred Jax humbled and finally learning to move forward. Or Jax could reject this final outreach and choose to die, but the others manage to save Pomni from her last effort at not giving up on him. At least now we understand why Jax couldn't let go before he chooses to die instead of meaninglessly after he's dead.
The Caine stuff honestly is a weird B-plot to shove into this and is either an alternative movie or shouldn't have been there at all.. but if you wanted to shoehorn it in, it feels like the characters should have realized that Caine was an important part of the Circus and considered checking to see if he's in the recycling bin once they reached that level of conjuring. Kinger is a computer guy and should be aware that files aren't immediately purged from a system and that they might have a chance but they will need to brave the Void. There's risk and tension involved in this. They could be lost, they don't know if enough of Caine is still out there to save. Ultimately they can save him and pay off the theme of the series that you should make people feel wanted. Forgiveness redeems Caine and he helps them rebuild the circus. You can still have them be friends and play DnD at the end this way. With effort I could probably link these two halves together, maybe the group splits up as two teams to accomplish these goals. Maybe the non-Pomni characters save Caine and Pomni and Jax have their emotional pay off.
this was made by a tranny and also happened to be his self-insert, even the tiniest bit of subtext is all we need to understand what the writer was trying to get at.

I used to think Jax being trans was a schizo theory. Now, after listening to the movie in English, I am 100% convinced he is a trans allegory. Even more than Zooble.
Jax the character isn't trans. But Jax is a metaphor of being trans.
Specifically, if Zooble represents hating your own body, Jax represents his "dead name self". That's why Gooseworx literally killed him. Abstracted him. He is technically still part of his life, but just as a shadow.
Him not being able to express his feelings and being the embodiment of "toxic masculinity" (dumb term, but that's what he meant) is Gooseworx rejecting his pre-trans "male self". His negative traits are also a statement of him considering his male self inferior, more evil, and aggressive. Unwilling to truly open to others
We don't know what "something deeply personal" Jax confessed to his mom that made her laugh at him. But it's impossible not to see parallels of his mother not accepting his transition (as the people that are working on his thread confirmed). His human self also looks just like young Gooseworx for a reason. He is Jax.
Pomni, I think, represents his post transition self, the one that can actually have healthy friendships, and hugged Jax giving him his last goodbye. The femenine self biding farewell to the male self in a tender way.
that would be an infinitely better movie hunter’s photos are alive become self aware and try to the opposite of what they originally were and escape the computer only for them to get arrested in the end.
So, I got tempted to go see the finale in theaters.
Overall the experience was rather timid, compared the 5th circle of hell, that I expected.
1) The few odd balls in the theater, that I saw were:
- A pair of troons, wearing matching lesbian flag socks.
- A teen with 3 different Jax plushies.
- Another teen dressed as Pomni.
2) Literally nobody cared about Jax abstracting, his "tragic" backstory or the final scene with Pomni before she was saved by the others. Meanwhile, half the theater gasped when Caine was revealed to be alive.
3) The only other few reactions I can recall was the theater laughing at:
- The fish scene before the movie started, voiced by Zach Hadel
- Fanservice scene from one of the abstract Jax sequence, where he was inviting the Mask to his rooms
- Another fanservice scene where multiple copies of Jax were arguing at the poker table
- The implication that the Mask and Shapes characters were either making out or fucking, which was accidentally overheard by Ragatha
Pomni, I think, represents his post transition self, the one that can actually have healthy friendships, and hugged Jax giving him his last goodbye. The femenine self biding farewell to the male self in a tender way.
This, except he's just as fucking toxic as a progesterone poisoned pseudo woman
So we're supposed to take him choking Pomni as him being in vehement denial that he gets a hard on from wearing dresses?
True and honest TADC fan's last act review rant:
Unbelievably poor finale to a gay retard show I tricked myself into hoping would have a satisfying conclusion.
A failure from every standpoint I can conceive.
You a fan of any character other than jax? Too bad, you bought tickets to The Amazing Digital daddy issues.
You a fan of Jax for some god forsaken reason? He an hero's in less than 8 minutes offscreen and the majority of the rest of the runtime is spent beating (off) his undead horse shaped corpse.
You want to watch any of these characters speak to each other like grown ass adults? No, hugging and crying and staring at their own hands. One continuous stream of realistic depictions of panic attacks and therapy speak. Even in the theatre I became consciously annoyed at how every shot of a character had to be of their face with goofy ass little tear blobs on their goofy ass models.
You want any answers about this gay little world and how it functions? No, in fact you get less than nothing, you get just enough to come away with more questions pissed off that the faggit rabbit stole story real estate in the final episode with such gusto it'd make blackrock blush. No need to probe any deeper, they all played dnd and had gay sex happily ever after until whatever hard drive this program was running on mercifully dies. A Zoomer troon's vision of paradise.
Did you stumble into the screening with your gf/wife and or kids? Marvel as an all powerful Ai, ~20hrs tops after inflicting days of torture capped off with a tailor made image of hell upon everyone present and a tranny physically and sexually harasses women (the sexual harassment taking place at a funeral) without facing anything close to proportionate consequences, or none at all cus they fewlt reew bad mkay. Now that's what I call a PG-13 moral.
And if you're me an autistic douchebag who got duped by a few well executed scenes with deeper themes earlier in the series, the referencing to it being """based on""" an actually great work in IHNM, or it being labeled as "horror" or "dark comedy" or whatever the fuck constantly than you'll hate this movie and retroactively the show that spawned it for ever pretending they were willing or able to properly explore the themes they mention in passing.
And worse yet I payed for this shit too, I'd bought the damn tickets weeks before the leaks and got treated to the most embarrassing theatre experience of my life. I'd gotten prime seats in the first screening in my area for the honor of cringing with a packed theatre. I don't know what kind of blue state hellhole these clips I see took place in where a chorus of degenerates screech at the tranny author's purple self insert were at but honestly I'd've preferred that. There was a damn near even distribution of everything you can think of in that cavernous room normies of either sex, trannies, fat brown people, kids, all in merch and or with plushies, even a couple people in costumes which made it almost unnerving that the Ep9 section elicited nothing. Dead silence, Nobody laughed the jokes, nobody cheered at the triumphs, nobody clapped when it was over. I didn't hear a word until leaving where I overheard a couple chicks bitching about coughmo. INB4 "retard expects every goy to whoop, hollar, shuck, and jive at they movie". At the budget project hail mary screening I went to weeks after it premired, with maybe 2 dozen people in the theatre and every capeshit movie I've tolerated with my family there was more noise than there. If nothing else I guess I got to see ~120 people all simultaneously and completely ambivalent. A fitting send off to this property I will venture to forget I ever bothered to start watching three years ago.
In conclusion: I think we should enact TTD, don't ever let no tranny convince you they can write. The rewards of tolerance are treachery and betrayal.
Go read I have no mouth and I must scream, it's a short but excellent story. I think it's only like 2-3 times the length of this gay ass #ventpost, I just wanted to scream into the void of an active thread after a mentally ill man that fancies himself a female auteur ruined my day yesterday tbh.
find it weird how now Pomni owns a dog and there is no talk, let alone artwork depicting her fucking it, have we gone insane people? need I remind you?
I went to cinema by buying tickets earliest which in Poland was 29,04.
Then you waited until 4.06.
Overall liked the thing, but so did my teatre room.
THEY EVEN CLAPPED AT END OF THIS.
My favorite character is kind off Jax and Pomni in the end. (and no i am not troon or whatever, but story of Jax kind off reflects mine with some people irl)
Also the Caine would been nice ending if we got stuff by the credits scene like him appear in void. (yes I am looking at Episode 8 )
It appears that I am due an apology. It seems I was indeed correct in observing that some journalists are beginning to attribute the commercial performance of Jared Leto's recent He-man movie on the success of "The Amazing Digital Circus movie" and "Scary Movie 6. I kid you not. Jared Leto Skeletor was so coded gay. The film implied he wanted to fuck he-man.
Theater crowd where I went had a few cosplayers but was otherwise nothing particularly wild. The finale itself was all over the place; the Jax shit was more or less the "men die because they don't go to therapy" line I was expecting but the way they quasi-killed him off completely offscreen was stupid. I don't know what they could have done with his character to make it satisfying but it wasn't this. What was the point of deep-diving into his digital corpse if all they could really do is sequester what's left of him off in his low-stimulation pillow fort? How can you have all these trauma dumping "let's talk about it" character moments and still entirely fail to make your characters feel like characters? Caine returning was an asspull that came completely out nowhere but whatever. They really just should have committed to the wacky slice of life since it ended pretty close to status quo anyways. Not to mention the doom and gloom being a complete slog to get through.
It was something to watch I guess. I'd be more disappointed but I never expected much more than a dumb cartoon with entertaining animation.

Well I'm even more glad that I didn't go to the theater to watch this troonslop. Skibidi Toilet is way better tbh. This is the proof that troons can't write anything good for people outside their discord server. TOTAL TRANNY DEATH
I love how most of our cinema trips have consisted of field research of other cinema goers, noting down their physical and mental attributes and then reporting them here. Probably more fun than the actual film.
The crowd really did make watching the movie bearable.
One thing I only hinted at in my crowd observations (during the over-the-top-hysterical-laughter to the fish in the beginning) was how completely unsocialized the largely 20-30 year old danger hair crowd was. Not just the fact there was an alarming amount of grown adults hugging already well-worn tadc plushies with two arms like children, while the actual children in the audience had no plushies. There were two instances when some sad or touching moment was on screen and the audience's reaction was immediate loud, hysterical laughter. But then a small group of girls near the front started going, "Awwwwww noooooooooooo Gangle NOOOO BABBYYYYY POOR BABY!!" louder and louder, before the rest of the crowd completely changed their emotional response and joined in. The laughter died into a mix of "HAHAHASHASHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" and "Awwwwww " until the laughter died completely and it was only "Awwwwwwwwww noooooooooooooooooooooo!!! "
That was one of the weirdest experiences in my life. I felt like I was surrounded by a hivemind pretending to be human. It was like the crowd went along with whatever seemed the general consensus of what to feel at any given moment based on the people around them. It felt surreal how easily they could be manipulated into thinking "Oh, laughter is the appropriate response? Let me laugh in an over the top way. Whoops, laughter isn't appropriate after all? Let me make sad noises now...."
The fact it happened TWO times was so weird.
The only way I could explain the behavior was: danger hairs go with whatever they think is the consensus in their group at any given time. They felt like they were only around peers watching a tadc movie. However, based on the guy from our showing running through the popcorn line screaming "I CAN'T BELIEVE JAX ABSTRACTED AND DIED!!!" after the movie, I think there was a group of trolls in the crowd that went undetected. They were very loud and set the emotional stage of what all the low iq crowd was expected to feel and how to respond at any given time.
Like masterful conductors in an orchestra of retards.
