Why bother with alien, why not bring back Slan since that was exactly type of story it was.

Mutants had to live as second class citizens and toil away while the humans lived better and constantly kept having to beat the mutants down. Kier Gray is the main antagonist and the main hero was Jommy who was a Slan Hybrid. There were two main types of Slans, Telepathic ones with tendrils, and super intelligent ones without tendrils but still couldn't fit in with society at large, basically autistics.

I want to see a roided out Newt clone with a Dyke hair cut blast aliens while shouting the praises of Karl Marx and then go "CAPITALISM WAS THE REAL ALIEN ALL ALONG!"

They just won't stop until they run every classical cinema franchise into the fucking ground. This just shows that Hollywood has ran out of ideas for some time now.

Bullshit. If it lasts more than one season I garuntee they will have her involved in some way. These shows always end up having to fall back on the stuff people like.
I think they should cast all the old characters and call this pile of dung "direct sequel to the dilogy and reboot at the same time". Old cast, bad sequels are ignored, woke as fuck - "Alien: Dark Fate" has a nice ring to it, but most importantly, that should be enough to kill the franchise for good at least for the next 10 years.

Sci-Fi is best, when it tries to tackle a contemporary political or social issue
bullshit, that's how you get lame ass preachy propaganda like district 9 or (apparently) this upcoming alien series

scifi is best when it focuses on (fictional) future technological developments and uses those as the foundations for a setting/universe which is interesting and immersive, to spark the readers own imagination
