I swear, with each passing year, the social justice crowd becomes more like a mafia. They are attacking him for tweets made a decade ago.The Academy was reportedly considering welcoming Kevin Hart back if he had expressed genuine remorse during his recent appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' talk-show to apologize, but that possibility went out the window when Hart instead painted the scandal as "a malicious attack on my character." They were also said to be "furious" that Ellen DeGeneres had "mischaracterized" her phone conversation with the Academy while lobbing for Hart's reinstatement, in which she implied that they wanted Kevin Hart back.

It was on the twenty five movie list but got taken out of the ten movie shortlist, AFAIK. And there’s no chance the movie will be nominated in the end because of this. How can people already be talking about Oscar snubs when the nominations aren't even out until next Tuesday?

they removed it due to backlashDidn't they add a new "Popular Film of the Year" award that'll almost certainly be a backhanded way of giving Black Panther a "Best Picture" nom?

Best Actor will be either Rami Malek or Christian Bale, with Bradley Cooper and Viggo Mortensen being outside possibilities.
He’s definitely overdue. I just have a feeling that it’s going to be one of the two aforementioned actors because while I certainly don’t mean to diminish their performances, they seem like the kind that Academy voters tend to gravitate towards, i.e., famous/beloved/controversial historical figures played whom the actors undergo a dramatic physical transformation to portray (see Gary Oldman in Darkest Hour last year).Viggo would actually deserve it, both for his actual performance and for the general career recognition, which is why he won't get it
