my favourite atmospheric folk/black metal album

i’ve been waiting for a new release from this band for 3 years! in the meantime can you metalheads give it a listen and if possible recommend me something in a similar vein? or just validate my taste.https://youtube.com/watch?v=tatnf2I0--U

Just skipped through bc that's some sort of Black Metal I honestly hate. Gay keyboards, really bad vocals (both; the clean and the BM styled), boring riffs, etc.

Not going to trash you here, just my personal taste. You like it? Fine. Enjoy it.

But from what I heard I would recommend Nokturnal Mortum, Negura Bunget/Dordehuh, Panopticon, Falkenbach and Skyforger. You may also like Agalloch.

And check out Storm, a short lived project with Fenriz from Darkthrone and Satyr from Satyricon. Bascially one of the first folkish Black Metal albums.

The Nocturnal Silence by Necrophobic got a reissue, so I had to grab it. Always felt like it was overlooked in the early 90s Swedish DM boom.

A few weeks ago, the guitarist of Soilwork died at the age of 47, the only details released about his death were about alcoholism and mental health. It's sad that Övergivenheten is the last album he worked on because he had a major influence on writing material for the band, and it only released a little over a month ago.

Does Black Sabbath count? Otherwise I've been really digging Antigama's work if anyone's heard of them:

Side project with members of Paradise Lost and Vallenfyre, their second album that just came out. Doomy, atmospheric death-tinged metal with elements of crust.

Hidden Hand Records offers this special EDELWEISS patch today and only today.
All profits will be forwarded to the Edelweiss singer who is batteling cancer.

HHR is celebrating their 1st anniversary so they are offering lots of other Edelweiss stuff. Leftovers from recent pressings. CDs, Tapes, LPs, shirts, patches, etc. Regular and special editions.

Speaking of album of the year...
Aurora Borealis are dropping new stuff, and it's pretty fucking good.

Thanks to Radio Free Innsmouth for letting me know about them, and whoever posted about RFI here.
