After multiple amount of delays, Chief Keef dropped his log anticipated Almighty So 2 project

The first Almighty So project was released back in 2013, so it should be interesting to see what Keef has to say in the last 11 years.

Didn't even realize before we had a thread for this. Been listening to a lot of old stuff lately, back when i first got into the music via grafitti. The 1999 to 2004 NY underground scene was and is my favourite era in Hip-Hop, so i've been listening to a ton of Def Jux stuff (mostly Can Ox, who had the best Hip-Hop debut album next to Illmatic and Operation: Doomsday, some Cage stuff back when he was still on the label, Aesop Rock is also a favourite), lot of DOOM (Vaudeville Villain being my favourite album), lots of Ill Bill and Necro and a ton of others. I expanded my horizon to different musical genres over the years but underground Hip-Hop is my most listened to stuff.
I pump a lot of underground stuff from my city, too, tons of people i knew from school are semi-big names now in the scene and other, much younger dudes make excellent music as well. My city was the originator of what would be best described as our version of street/gangster rap and the artists from here are the ones that pushed german rap mainstream, even if they did and do relentlessly bite french and US artists.
 
Kendrick Lamar did a special concert called “The Pop Out” yesterday, as he invited special guests from the Compton/Inglewood area to perform with him.

The real treat, though, was when he mocked Drake yet again by performing his popular diss track “Not Like Us” four straight times with the help from Dr. Dre, NBA stars DeMar Derozan, Russell Westbrook and others.

He also did a special tribute to the late Nipsey Hu$$le and Kobe Bryant by inviting both Bloods and Crips on stage to perform the track with him, along with other L.A. personalities

Famous hip-hop figures Common and Pete Rock made a collaborative project together called The Auditorium Vol. 1, and this song is surprisingly decent:


Also, LL Cool J has a new album called The FORCE that is coming out September 6th which will be produced entirely by the famed producer, Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest fame. He even made this new song as a single:


Safe to say, the old school hip hop heads are making a comeback.
