Lil Durk's new single with J. Cole just went #2 on the Top 100 Billboard Charts. The last time he did this was with Drake when he made "Laugh Now, Cry Later" back in 2021.

His new album, Almost Healed, is out on streaming platforms now.

One week ago, the official 2023 XXL Freshman Class was announced:

The new class inductees include:

- GloRilla
- 2Rare
- Finesse2Tymes
- Lola Brooke
- Central Cee
- SleazyWorld Go
- Rob49
- Luh Tyler
- Fridayy
- DC The Don
- Real Boston Richey
- TiaCorine

Also, popular producer/rapper Pi'erre Bourne will be creating instrumentals for the ciphers. Currently, they're doing Freshman freestyles. I'll update you guys when they're officially done so you can judge to see who had the better freestyle out of the whole class.

Última edición:
I'm an absolute hip-hop head, and I think this is one of Eminem's overlooked/underrated songs. I don't know why but I absolutely love it.

P.S. I'm really into Aussie hip-hop, but that's because I am Australian. It's a pretty underground scene outside of the country, and these guys are pretty unknown even in the scene. See what you think.

XXL Freshman 2023‘s freestyles and cyphers have concluded. (Though, two of the popular ones, GloRilla and Central Cee did not actually do them since there were no reasons given,)

Either way, here are this years‘ two cyphers with Pi’erre Bourne doing production for both of them:

Finesse2tymes, Real Boston Richey, Fridayy and Lola Brooke

Rob49, SleazyWorld Go, DC The Don, Luh Tyler, TiaCorine and 2Rare

yo yo yo, it's ya boy osama bin niggin' with a hippity hop update.

Travis Scott released his album, "UTOPIA", the album after my personal favorite "ASTROWORLD".

and holy shit it sucks. Travis has managed to get every mainstream producer and feature, but it still couldn't save how terrible this album is. I would've been fine if it was some small EP he was doing but it's 19 tracks of just noise. travis does nothing to make it interesting or different. he has 20 different beat switches but it adds absolutely nothing to the music. the drake song was cool and the last 2 songs were good in my opinion. i just can't understand how people think this is AOTY (album of the year)

here's all the hip-hop music that dropped friday

I’m willing to argue that this was probably the funniest, though strangely enough, the best song on the album:

He‘s the only guy that I know of that could get both Yung Lean trying hard to sing and Dave Chappelle saying random things about falling and getting back up on his album.

that's really funny you said that because i completely forgot about that song. I remember taking the train home and I was sorta listening to it on the ride home. His part came up and I couldn't help but chuckle and go "that was the final cut?" "that was the best you guys got?" so, i take back some of what i said.

i get a fuckload of travis scott updates from instagram music pages i follow and it's really funny seeing the small vocal minority saying that the album was garbage and all the travis dickriders were saying "BRO NIGGA U JUS HATING. U A PROFESSIONAL HATER THAT SHIT WAS 10/10 FUCKIN SLAPPERS"

listening to uptopia despite having every major feature and producer on this album showed that even if you have gold, it still can be shit. the drake song with travis was pretty nice tho.

travis trying to rap or speak on more serious topics is the most surface level shit i've ever listened to. i can see travis making mainstream pop music but idk. i don't think he's a shitty artist, just a shitty album

Travis Scott has officially released his short film, CIRCUS MAXIMUS, which is based on the song of the same name on his already recently released and popular album, UTOPIA.

The short film is over an hour and 15 plus minutes long.

I actually liked a bunch of songs on Utopia, mainly the stuff that was left over from Donda (God's Country, Telekinesis)

Ken Carson, like all Opium members, say they're going to drop an album on a specific day and never do. Idk if anyone really likes his music in here but I think he's pretty dope.

These "Lost Files" compilations that you can find on SoundCloud/YouTube from him are even better than his commercial albums.

Hip-hop legend Nas is releasing the final collaborative project with Hit-Boy, titled Magic 3, tonight at midnight. It will only have Lil’ Wayne as a feature for the project, and it is expected to be their last collaborative effort.

For those don’t know, Hit-Boy was responsible for getting Nas his first ever Grammy award for his album, King’s Disease. The second and third installments for that and their Magic series received great to almost critically acclaimed reviews.

In fact, during their sequel project Magic 2, both Nas and 50 Cent managed to get a song together. It was their first time in years that they collaborated on a project like this, since they used to have beef almost two decades ago:
