It's less the TFfags more furries in general with renamon. I guess it's because they're a female animal person with a cool design. Digimon usually treats the mons more like characters than general species though there's some times where they are a species like those little green slug niggas. I don't see any of these people even reference anything about the actual character aside from their appearance.

A huge reason is that it's the middle of the diagram of female and animal person and Digimon stuff. Pre troon era It was because renamon was the Digimon equivalent of Lola bunny. Post troon they are now also the female/nonbinary body ideal.

I've never been a huge fan of the character but you really can see the shift over time where artists stopped focusing on the furry aspects of the character (like its tuft of fur) and instead focused on drawing enormous grotesque boobs.
