I love it when SJW shit fails spectacularly.

Stick a fork in woke culture, it's done, nobody is going to want a repeat of this disaster, too much money has been lost, it's hilarious that SJWs can make you miss simple greed but here we are.

I don't think Dark Fate crashed solely because of it being SJW trash, I think it crashed moreso because most people do not give a shit about the Terminator franchise (as in the sequels post-T2) and could care less for what other dumb movie is made.

I really hope this tells studios that Terminator is not a profitable film series anymore and it's best to let the IP rest.

Trouble is, the whole thing that was supposed to sell this movie was having Arnie, Hamilton, and Cameron back for an encore performance. That meant that they could essentially set the terms for their employment, and saying "no" wasn't feasible for Miller- not with ~$200 mil riding on this.

...seriously, don't bet $200 mil on an R-rated movie with geriatric stars. It's just tempting fate.

It was very progressive for Linda Hamilton to be played by a shriveled up potato in this movie. Ditto for Arnold.

usually don't watch RLM but the HITB episode of girlbusters with mike getting wasted on akroyd's wodka was hilarious with all the fucks he didn't give towards the end.

Ya know as we sit together, witnessing the final death of the Terminator franchise, discussing how the #woke shit might have helped cause this cataclysm and how franchise fatigue played a part, there is only one mystery I still wish to see solved....

I wonder if the next big brained idea would be for them to make MovieBob's Terminator idea, where obsolete men go back in time try to destroy the superior future so they can keep their jerbs by killing the genius black woman that is Miles' Dyson's daughter/transwoman child, and they have to send the Terminator (or Terminatrix, or Terminatrexxx, whatever the gender neutral term that arbitrarily adds x to the end would be) to kill the people that made fun of MovieBob in high school bad humans.

Ooh, maybe they can have the good Terminatrexxx be Arnold's Terminator transferred to a new body because zhe finds the new gender neutral body more natural for zher.
 
Force Awakens worked because there hadn't been a Star Wars movie in a decade and the film promised to be closer to the ST than to the PT. Any damage done by the PT was allowed to heal through time, the old cast was set to return, and it being taken over by Disney gave fans hope of something fresh and exciting.

Say what you will about it, but it worked in the short term for one movie.

Oh and Force Awakens also had a fair amount of mystery surrounding the plot...whereas Terminator DF did the exact same fucking plot I've already seen in multiple Terminator movies. Time Traveling Killer Robot + Messiah for the Future + Protector for Future Jesus = Terminator plot. Wash...rinse...repeat...shoot me in the fucking head.

Terminator is a franchise that has been buttfucked since the turn of the century. In the last 16 years before this film, we had 3 attempts at a Terminator sequel, including a crazy as fuck movie that basically undid the first two movies...the ones that people liked. We had already seen Arnold come back, so him as the Terminator has lost its nostalgic value, and I doubt anybody had any faith that there would ever be a good Terminator movie again. The timeline of these films is a confused mess and the films haven't been good for a long time.

When I heard that Dark Fate was coming out, before I knew anything about Cameron, Arnold, and Hamilton all coming back, my first reaction was "Oh no".
