South Park was the only thing at the time to call this out. It's so creepy how the public doesn't care when boys get abused that way because "lol, he's a guy so he'd enjoy it." Never mind the fact that teenagers don't know what they're doing and react by hormones and getting taken advantage will mentally fuck them up and warp them. Edward reminds me of Brad Renfro who also worked in Hollywood with Bryan Singer, who also didn't have his parents around and a strong guidance, and also was around predators, and also had drug problems and was arrested. The only difference is Brad Renfro died in his 20's and Edward's still alive. It makes me wonder about all these child actors and actresses and how so many of them end up damaged in their adult years.

When the Mary Kay Letourneau thing happened, people defended their "relationship" and made sickening comments about how Mary was hot and Vili was lucky. When I looked up Edward and Jacqueline there were interviews mentioned that mentioned her being his girlfriend while she was underage and nobody cared, even though the age difference was known. It was just accepted. I'm not surprised Edward's a has been now. It makes me wonder what could have happened if he had a stronger family and didn't get sucked into a relationship with Jacqueline. We can all agree that the best thing Dark Fate did to the franchise is make people finally realize that:
"Huh...Maybe Salvation wasnt so bad."
I always enjoyed Salvation, hell, even more than T3 on the simple fact it didnt copy itself (that was before Genesys). It was different from the future war we have seen and peopl dont realize that its an actual plot point in the movie, John himself says that this isnt the future he was warned about, showing the alterations on the past led to something else
I remember people flipping their shit over CG-Arnie, without knowing that having a deaged arnold was going to be a recurring thing. Marcus was an interesting (tho not explored to its full potential) concept, he was the "protector terminator" of the movie, without it being a copy of the previous movies, I guess I always found the concept of getting hurt, find out you are actually made of metal and then trying to decide what to do now, always kind of fascinating.
Also Bale as John was not bad, it perhaps needed a bit more direction but I could buy him as a John thats still new to the hero thing (since in T1, he wasnt born, T2 was just a kid, T3 he just kind was dragged along for the ride).

The skynet having a face thing wasnt official, it was just the AI taking the form of someone Marcus knew but it could change into the face to anyone it wanted (like John and Kyle). When Marcus basically tells Skynet to go fuck itself, he throws a piece of metal at the screen and the AI briefly shows its true mechanical face.

I don't know why Terminator Salvation caught so much critic hate. Bale was pretty good in it. Sam Worthington (remember Sam Worthington was in every action movie?) was also fine, and so were the rest of the cast. It wasn't great, but it was entertaining and a lot more interesting than yet another movie about a killer robot sent back from the future to kill someone in the least efficient way possible. The 2 seconds of CGI Arnold was pretty cool.

I don't want to see Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger drag their geriatric, leathery old hides across the big screen in yet another pointless Terminator movie. Same reason I didn't want to see 90 year old Han Solo or a bloated, coke-frazzled Carrie Fisher playing space princess again. Let those characters retire with their dignity intact.

It's just sad to see that stuff, the original movies were a product of their time and already exhausted the (limited) creative potential of their premise. And as Marsellus Wallace warned us:
