Pale Moon 34.1.0 on ArtixScreenshot? Link? Device information?????
@Null This is weird: I've got a notification that "Leylon Sneed" (I'm not tagging them, I assume you can see my alerts) has replied to my post in the home maintenance thread (https://kiwifarms.st/threads/homeowner-maintenance-general-thread.225311) here: https://kiwifarms.st/posts/24573367/
But, they didn't, and I'm pretty sure I've never posted in that thread...
...did you vibe code the alert system in rust?
Naughty Slobbermutt.
You sound like someone who got owned up the butthole and you had to have been, wtf, you clicked a word doc? Lmao. Tard. Just don't do that. This site doesn't even allow that. Point where you got that, because my suggestion is that shit didn't even happen.I noticed someone attaching a word doc the other day. MS Office is a pretty notorious and common vector to spread malware. It struck me as an odd file type to allow as an attachment here, since the text can just be pasted in a spoiler or something.
It might be worth thinking about what filetypes you want to allow and/or any backend scanning you do on them for known CVEs. As frequently as MS office RCE exploits are found and as often as this site and its users are attacked by bad actors it might be advisable to just not host those filetypes.
Here's the thread. As you can see the site does allow it. No need to get MATI, if Null doesn't care it's no big deal. Nothing has happened to me, I just pointed out that it's retarded to download and open word docs from random internet strangers because MS Office is so often used for malware distribution. I linked an article about some recent CVEs as an example in that thread. You sound like someone who got owned up the butthole and you had to have been, wtf, you clicked a word doc? Lmao. Tard. Give me the url that NOBODY should click.
Was just coming to report this, but I vote we keep it because it made me laugh even more than the riot.Closed captions on videos gets a little over enthusiastic:
i dont often use microdick office but dont they sandbox and open untrusted files in some kind of read-only safe mode? Yeah, modern Office opens read-only for docs from the internet, and the malicious docs usually have some sort of "document is protected enable macros to view contents" instruction for the malware payload. You generally have to try to be infected on purpose for it to work.i dont often use microdick office but dont they sandbox and open untrusted files in some kind of read-only safe mode? Any problems with attachments and avatars? I can't upload attachments at all and I tried on browserling and it throws errors about attachments not existing.
It's either This attachment cannot be shown at this time. Please try back later., a generic S3 error "InvalidAccessKeyId" or something like that. I assume it's just not me and my browserling.
It's okay now.Attachments are broken, none of them load.
