I can personally vouch for epson ecotanks if u ever of getting a new printer.got an l3156 and printed around 1300 pages till i refilled,they are refilled using ink which is under 10$.Mine came with 1 for bottle for each color(4 in total) and an extra black one.one bottle is enough to fill the cartridge.

Just get something like this and a few 3.5" mechanical hard drives.

It should be noted that when you have two or three drives going in something like that with no cover isolating them, it's rather loud. The vertical orientation might not be the best for reliability either.

It should be added that it doesn't recompress anything, it just sticks it in MKV containers. It's a very fast process, limited by how fast it can read/write. So reading from physical DVDs will suck. Pirating a DVD ISO of Rumble In the Bronx and converting it to MKV might be faster than reading it off the disc you own. In my experience most TVs don't like playing MKV natively and mpeg2 streams can't be put into mp4 containers, that's a potential headache.

VCL has been pretty good to me when it comes to playing MKVs but Handbrake is good if you want to convert MKV files if you want to save space.

Windows 10 can let you know if a USB port shorts out. Found that out the hard way on my last system a few years ago now when my mouse "stopped working" and a pop-up about a shorted USB port came up.

Laptops have cheap thermal paste from the factory that results in overheating and loud fans, spending 10 Euros on some aftermarket paste (Kryonaut and MX-5 are my favourites) and applying usually fixes these issues.

• If you need a font file that you can't easily find for free, look up its name and append "GitHub" at the end of it.
• It's generally best to avoid NiMH rechargeable batteries for things like game controllers and TV remotes if you can, since they run at a lower voltage than their alkaline counterparts. Invest in lithium ones instead, even the disposable ones last far longer.
• If you're on Linux and trying to go back to Windows, just use Ventoy for the USB drive. It's a lot less of a headache than trying to get something like WoeUSB working.
• For laptop users that sometimes use theirs as a desktop (with the lid closed, connected to a monitor), invest in a cheap laptop stand to improve airflow. It depends on the machine but the lid can actually hamper it sometimes.
