Unboxing seems like it's been disabled as well. R.I.P. anyone who didn't unbox after Valve's janitor mixed up a decimal point.

In other news, selling my Scorching Flames Armored Authority for $40 $4. DM me with your PayPal, social security number, home address, and credit card information.

Apparently Valve is starting to give out mass trade bans and locking accounts with a large number of unusuals. They are not happy about this one bit.

To be honest they are kinda lucky this happened to what is by far their least popular of their 3 main games right now (TF2, CS:GO, Dota 2). Just imagine what would have happened if this happened in CS:GO or Dota 2. Honestly serves Valve right for starting the lootbox shit to begin with.

Makes me wonder, how much of TF2 makes up their revenue? People pay 3 times the price of a hat for a 50% degraded knife in CSGO. Sure, it's a big revenue stream, but can't be even 1/5 of their money.

I know someone who is going to be very, very sad over this. Rip hat economy.

I'm actually kinda surprised so much of those unusuals still retain their value. Is TF2 doing better than I'm lead to believe?

It will be interesting to see how, if at all, this affects other Valve games' economies, if people lose trust in the stability of these items it could be a big fucking deal for Valve.

I doubt it will affect DotA much, given Valve had gone out of their way to nuke the cosmetic economy (outside of China, of course..lolPerfectWorldExclusives) years ago. It's still heavily moderated to supress this kind of secondhand market from emerging (mostly).

HAHA..holy shit. I don't even care if it's true or not, because the hypothetical is funny enough on its own.

G fucking G suckers. Thanks for the money.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's fake. I was so hoping for butthurt.

Not as bad as it could have been. They locked trading and market transactions. A crash is good, I suppose, considering the deflation of keys.

I'm pretty sure this Twitter has been inactive for years until this very moment.

Edit: Uh-oh.
