Okay cringey topic but I wanted to get a tattoo of the Bioshock quote "A man chooses, a slave obeys" even though I never played the game. I just thought it was a cool quote but so far i'm glad I haven't been tatted yet.

Permanently etching my body forever and ever with some dumbass thing I thought was totally cool when I was 19 or 21 or 25 or last fucking week makes me anxious just to imagine.

It's embarrassing enough when the only remaining proof of my past idiocy exists in my memory.

...and once upon a time (...and still is in some backward cultures) it was considered common practice to confine menstruating women to huts outside of the village because they were considered "unclean" or that diseases are caused by demons/angry gods.

The point is that there are lots of stupid things that people did in the past that are stupid to emulate. Also people spending money for scribbling idiotic shit on themselves to remember something begs the question of why the person's memory is that poor that they cannot recall such monumental events for themselves.

If that's how a grown adult wants to spend their money, who cares? It's not like anyone's forcing you to get a tattoo or anything.

You also can't compare someone choosing to get a tattoo with societal oppression forced on people.

To be fair at that age you don't really give a shit about building or maintaining muscle either. My grandpa is the same way with his blubber and very faded tattoo on his arm and he doesn't give a shit.
 
Tattoos are disgusting, weird piercings like the gross bull nose ones are disgusting, all these stupid "body modification" trends are absolutely disgusting. All this crap does is make you look like a run-down gas station toilet in the bad part of Chicago.

Excellent warning signs for avoiding low-quality women.

Tattoos have always been gay and retarded but were propped up by people who like counter culture things and women who desire danger but won't date a person of color. That's the only reason people ever got tattoos. The ones who say it's for dead friends/relatives are lying. They're just counter culture fags who needed a reason. If they didn't have one, they would've found another excuse.

The only difference now is that counter culture is the norm and is now uncool. So all those faggots who dressed themselves in tattoos, you're the losers now. Enjoy it. ♥️
 
I really fucking hate people obsessed with "good" tattoos. Like the kind where people drop 2-5 grand on one. It's not counter-culture, it's not cool, it's a year's car payments wasted on something gay.
 
Know a beautiful young woman, went to school with my son, who has a ton of tattoos. Am sure she believes the tats make her look even better but they don't, not at all. Wonder what she will think as time passes and things change. Seriously, get the temporary tattoos. Another advantage of temporary tattoos - as they fade you can change them to suit your fancy.
