I wasn't a big fan of the first episode, but thought I'd wait to see if it got much better (not yet!). The main issue is they're all too agreeable. There hasn't been many arguments over points between the contestants. It is meant to be a competition, after all.
Joel as a superfan is fine, but there needs to be a contrast to all that positive energy. Armando is good, Amy is grinding, Joanna is average. Kumail should be deported.
The Jeet is finally coming out of his shell. Enjoyed this ep. I wonder if he had help with his excitement task cause that was very surprising. Didn't know he had it in him.
This season is certainly fine, not great but nothing too bad either. I think this cast is missing the "prickly pear" archetype (Ed Gamble, Reece Shearsmith, etc) that can add some flavor to the dynamic. I feel like Kumali could be that but he is painfully aware that any such outbursts can be twisted against him back in LA.
I wanted to wait until the end of the series to make a post, but seeing that disgusting streetshitters hairy nipples confirmed my suspicion: this is the second worst series of TM (so far), the first being the one with that retarded woman who took 5 hours to get a below mediocre joke out during the banter section (had to turn that one off 10 minutes into the first episode).
I thought I could tank the paki being unfunny while waiting for Ianucci kino but the rest of the cast is also dogshit, especially that Joel guy, his wholesome chungus retard act is painful to listen to. The two women are just forgettable, 0 memorable moments.
There were maybe 2-3 times so far over 8 episodes where I even cracked a smile, the dog shitting out the ostrich being the only moment where I actually lol'd.

Judging by episode 9's flip-flop task, at least a month to tape all task attempts (including tasks that don't make the cut), studio segments were taped on September 12-18, 2025, during Season 20 transmission. Probably, two months to make a season.
Yeah could go either way. I've seen deadpan funny guys be utter shit on here, but could go either way. Don't know if he has the earnestness of Joe Wilkinson or absurdity of Bob Mortimer to really shine.
Isy will be great I think, she's a real goer and is usually pretty quick on panels and game shows. Has had some real bangers on 8OO10CDCD.

I checked the fan wiki, and it appears that the points weren't actually deducted? It was just a gag. The points seem to add to me.
I really liked Armando this season, and the rest are firmly in the "OK" tier for me.
Next season has one comedian whom I have enjoyed everything I have seen of him (Ayoade) and one that I have hated him in everything (Matt Lucas), even in good things I have disliked his part. So we shall see how terrible he is.
