Right? Fucking hell, that poor kid. That nurse is an angel. She just loved him and did what she could for him. Poor thing never had a chance. These stories really piss me off because it could have been avoided. So many of these kids we talk about on here were choices made in a different way. So you have this kid who was clearly abused causing his injuries and deficiencies and then we have these kids who are born to parents who know full fucking well that they are going to have a tater with no quality of life if they're even aware that they exist. I find them to be equally horrifying.

That's because you are precisely correct. Fundies care about all of God's little miracles except the one's unfortunate enough to be born poor. If they were going to be poor then they should have had some catastrophic defect that eliminates the chance of a fulfilling life or really any life at all. I hate this shit of not making your kids behave in waiting rooms, both normal and disabled. Especially the excuse of "he doesn't know any better he's only [X]/has the mentality of a [X] year old." As soon as I was old enough to walk and talk my mom didn't let me run wild, she always made sure I sat quietly and always carried around little books to read to me so I'd be encouraged to sit still and be quiet. Even (if not especially) if I was autistic she'd never let me roll around on some nasty floor, or run around screaming. Fuck this woman, I'm glad they got angry at her.
