✨ Celebrity Tara Strong / Tara Lynn Charendoff - Narcissistic “Queen of the Bronies” who suffers from GOTIS and Trump Derangement Syndrome; got an Uber Driver fired for disagreeing with her on politics

Makes me wonder: Are anime voice actors on the same boat with her?

I know Sean Schemmel and Chris Sabat threw bitch fits on Twitter over the election, but they otherwise haven't commented on every little thing Trump has done since like Tara is because they're fucking professionals. (Well, Chris retweets stuff and has a more autistic Twitter feed than Schemmel (actually rather embarrassing to look at ngl), but he doesn't add his own two cents.)

Pretty sure many of them are left-leaning (the dub of Ghost Stories is like living proof of this, at least for folks of ADV/Sentai Filmworks), but I don't care enough to check as long as they're being mature about it.

This exact thing happened to me with Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Andromeda). I happened across his Facebook and he turned out to be a bigot and Tea Partier. I was crushed.

I can't see getting bent out of shape about that unless they were something like a sports figure you admired irl and it turned out they were a rapist or a secret Nazi or something. It's like getting mad because you're a liberal and found out William Shatner was a life-long shitlord and more or less the guy he played on Boston Legal.

Even people with completely abhorrent politics can be good company and otherwise wonderful people. One of the most "heartless conservative" politics guys I know is also one of the most personally generous and kind people, spends immense amounts of his time on charitable activities, and would be embarrassed as fuck if anyone knew that.

People seriously need to get the fuck over thinking that someone's politics is the core of their identity or their worth as a person, even when it's really shitty politics (and most politics is utter bullshit whether it is mine or yours). People get really mad about it like it's more important than what sportsball team you root for, when in actuality it's probably even less important.

This was sort of a response to this thread and Tara Strong and her own REEEEEing self, really.

Ah, Tara Strong. I specifically recall posting this particular image to the general Trump thread:

I like how this tweet compares Obama to Timmy's negligent parents--y'know, the exact reason why he has fairies in the first place. I don't think that was an implication she intended to make.

I mean, don't get me wrong. I like Tara as a voice actress and I respect a lot of the work she's done over the years, but I can agree that she can act a tad bit nutty at times.
Funny thing is, Butch Hartman (Fairly OddParents creator) is a conservative christian who probably voted Trump.

General rule of thumb- Unless they say otherwise, then any actor (or celebrity) in America is likely a left-winger. Most of them tend to just keep their mouths shut better than Tara can.
I think the left-wing tendencies of many actors tend to come about organically. Theater, where a lot of these kids start out, is the basis of using your emotions, and feeling the characters you are playing, in order to bring about a believable performance. Therefore, the entire field of acting tends to recruit many more feelings-based thinkers naturally, thus the left winged nature of many of them. Feels before reals, as I believe the youtube shitlords say. That's only compounded by all the commies that McCarthy failed to weed out that got embedded in the industry, plus the near-commie (or outright commie) union newsletters put out by the various actors guild unions. Actors read that shit and some of them believe every word as if it were the writings of L. Ron Hubbard himself, even if the journalism quality is somewhere in between terrible-high-school newspaper and the unsourced ramblings of an internet blog or bizarro opposite-world Jack Chick tract.

And then you get Wesley Crusher, who has said his parents and family aren't really all that left-wing, probably brainwashed right on set by about 1/3 of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Reading this thread I'm reminded of when I went to Maurice LaMarche's Facebook. I haven't visited it recently, so this could've changed, but LaMarche is pretty left-wing and I gained a huge amount of respect for him when I saw him announce he'd unfriended a bunch of people who were celebrating the fact Antonin Scalia had died. He disagreed with Scalia on practically every political point, but found the idea of celebrating the death of someone you disagreed with politically repugnant which is why he'd unfriended those people.

Tara probably retweets them instead.

LaMarche isn't too bad. He retweets a lot of shit, but he doesn't shit his pants and scream every time Trump takes a breath like Tara and George Takei do.

Speaking of Takei, he's probably another salt pillar worthy of a thread here. If nobody else does that within the next few days, I will.

I feel like actors for kid cartoons go crazier faster. The first real trainwreck of a VA going completely psycho lefty I saw was Erin Fitzgerald and she was in Ed Edd and Eddy. Should have known by the last name but eh.
The one thing I found in common between other VAs and Tara here is trying to leverage all media, games, cartoons and anime, whether they're in it or like it, as some political tool. Like, these people will worship Rogue One at an altar while Disney execs desperately go on about it not being political.

tbh twentysomething men offended that a voice actor of a cartoon for little girls has political opinions are kind of the bigger lolcow in this case
You got that from Catparty in Supporters.

I am disappoint. Though I don't disagree.

I find all this kind of funny considering her Chowder co-star Dwight Schultz is a staunch and outspoken Republican. I know Chowder isn't on the air anymore, but Dwight still gets around the voice-acting circuit so I can't help but wonder if it makes things awkward.

:offtopic: I love Dwight Schultz. He was badass in Killer 7.:offtopic:
