From an admin point of view, don't banned accounts have a crossed out name? I remember seeing this on Null's stream when he talked about byuu's ban due to the infamous australian cryptid minecraft mod incident.

If I had to suggest how to do this, maybe all users being able to see the crossed out name or a tag like Couch Cuck's "Deceased" tag that says "Banned" could work.
