So the thing about this is that this clown has basically been kicked out of Paizo. He got effectively booted when they unionized, and barely counts as a design director. Like we're talking half a day per week rubberstamping one or two things at most level. He only counts as an employee by technicality to save face.
Paizo's pozzed to hell and back, but they do like money. I'd not be shocked he he got squeezed for being this retarded with his PR.

That's pretty sad. I liked a lot of his adventures he wrote in Dungeon Magazine back in the day and his work on the first few adventure paths was great. I don't really know what he's worked on lately because I haven't bought a gaming product in ages but I guess if Pozzo want's to release something cool I'll just steal it instead.

ah that's an interesting story I had when I was designing TT RPG's and I disagreement with this one guy who later turned out to be a pedophile who didn't like me I made it very clear I was a conservative Christian.
The point being people who scream the loudest about right wing people in the hobby or normal people in the hobby usually are child molesters and rapists.
That guy's now sharing a shower with Bubba and probably getting his intestines rearranged.
One of my campaigns sadly collapsed this week because no one is interested in playing consistently and everyone just keeps leaving ohh been gone for a month and 1/2 sign but I'll just get new players

it was even worse than that. I mentioned it over in the community watch threat I think, but said mod had a long post history with lot of japan butthurt (think he's a flip, which explains some things), this was quietly accepted so far because most people don't care unless it gets shoved in their face.
the whole tian xia thing actually kicked off a bit earlier when some people wanted to discuss how to build a samurai (which is racist you see, because that's what people think of first when they hear fantasy asia, not some noname-warrior archetype of some no-one-cares country in bumfuck SEA), but when pointed out and even more so after that retarded wall of text, he and his pet nigress mod banned a good chunk of the people speaking out or even questioning it, lot of normies alongside it.
said dude was also running the "unofficial" pf2e discord and promptly made fun about it, which of course got leaked as well and riled people up even more. lot of handwringing later dude stepped down/got kicked (ofc not due to any fault of his own), not sure if the pet nigress is still a mod, was already banned at that point.
that was where I finally washed my hands of paizo, since they literally let some retards shit all over their brand to the point fucking with normal players, there was no speaking out, there was no disavowing the subreddit, just quiet acknowledgement. that's why I'm not surprised them and the retards in charge doubling down. at this point I'm just waiting for a bunch of them inevitably get outed as sexpests and cp hoarders.

It's hard to tell with Pozzo. I still stand by them being true believers, but if they switch gears and ditch DEI tomorrow I won't be surprised.
Speaking of wokeshit (terrible segue but I'm using it), an author who put out books I like has a Kickstarter up. The preview is really good so far (I've only read half of it), but at does the exact same shit the previous book did, with a little +1 or +2 on top. It's basic stuff that is easy to revert. Like an adventure where you recover the body of a guys dead husband.
The +1 is things that might be wokeness. The constant references to how multi-racial the city, or that almost all the good NPCs of note are women. Again, these are trivial to change so players will never see, so why bother? Other things are just odd. Like a centaur that is a master of disguise, not with illusion magic, but with disguise kits. Maybe the intention is she disguises the PCs?
Wokeshit aside, I like it so far. It's a bit derivitive of his other work, but what I like is that all the material is gameable. eg. The politics. There's a queen, an elected council, and an order of knights. It's easy to understand the set up without requiring lengthy explainations, and they can easily work for or against each other depending on how the DM wants to run it and how much the players want to interfere.

That would be the most surprising thing they could possibly do. They've been including fags in much of their shit for quite some time, the guy who wrote much of the stuff for the planes trooned out while working there. The twink->magitroon x orc dyke couple was printed in CY-2. Pozzo will be dead and buried before they stop doing woke shit.
One thing I will give them credit for is that when WOTC was pulling their OGL shit and said they'd be terminating the licenses of products deemed "blatantly racist, sexist, homophobic, trans-phobic, bigoted or otherwise discriminatory," the Pozzo ORC license was intentionally bereft of a morality clause.

Pozzo is Pozzo for a reason but the big difference between them and WOTC is that the people who make Pathfinder actually play tabletop games and like the hobby. I wish people like them didn't but it at least keeps them from going anti-consumer with it.

And the 2nd lt and @EleventySeven covers the main difference between Pozzo and Woketards of the Coast is that Pozzo actually cares about TTG's vs. Woketards only caring about maximizing short-term profit for their masters.

I think the only book I found in the last 20 years that wasn't second hand was SWN but that's because that guy's an independent creator this revised edition is still trash though for taking away all the skills and dumbing down the psychic system

Are there any podcasts like Rollplay by itmejp? I've been getting back into ttrpgs and remembered that I used to love listening to Mirrorshades/Dark heresy. Looked it up only to find out that JP shut the whole thing down because Adam Koebel rped a date rape scene. Every other ttrpg podcast I can find is either d&d or cringe.
