Police believe the motives for the attacks that took place near the Château Frontenac hotel weren't terrorist attacks, rather a personal reason.
Police said the suspect, originally from the Montreal Area, made a threat of violence in 2014. None of the names have been revealed of the injured/dead, only saying they were residents of Quebec.
The five victims were taken to a hospital, some having severe lacerations but none life threatening.
