At this point, the open water has become too cold to swim in.
So to keep seasoned, I hope to share basic pool workouts.
Hopefully these can be used by beginners and more. (It's also to motivate myself)

Feel free to discuss their structures, how you may have modified them, or if there's something to be improved upon. All of my workouts are in yards, so if you're not an Amerimutt, you'll probably have to convert these.

I'll start:
Warm Up
- 200yds freestyle
- 200yds freestyle w/ pull buoy
- 200yds kick w/ kickboard

Main Set
- 4x 5:00 continuous freestyle

Cool Down
- 100yds backstroke
- 200yds freestyle (easy effort)
- 50yds breaststroke

Hello again everyone!
This week’s workout is fairly short:

Warm Up:
200 yds - freestyle
100 yds - kick

Main Set:
(All freestyle - all have a set :20 rest between sets)
100 yds - fast
200 yds - moderately fast
300 yds - steady pace
200 yds - moderately fast
100 yds - fast

Cool Down:
100 yds - freestyle
100 yds - backstroke

I started swimming to strengthen my back to help with the posture and to help with aerobic capacity because I hate running. Is there any particular style I should focus on?
@skekChuck
It’s generally easiest to start with freestyle (front crawl).
But, I always make sure to include some back stroke as a cool down because it stretches muscles in different places.
