Soundtrack has a delightful Wendy Carlos (A Clockwork Orange) vibe - turns out its composed by Thom Yorke of Radiohead! Tentatively excited for this one, thanks for sharing.
i doubt i'll be watching the movie (doesn't look bad, just doesn't seem to be my thing)
i will be keeping an eye out for the soundtrack

Trailers these days give you the whole damn movie. After watching that I feel like I don't even need to see the whole thing.

So I recently read the script.
Its actually really good from what I read up until the ending, which I well get into soon.
1.) It does have its homages to the original film (the blue iris, counting your steps to find the hidden chambers)

2.) Its much psychological than Supernatural but the Supernatural is still the main aspect of the story.

3.) Aspects of Inferno, and Mother of Tears are indeed there.

4.Old german professor dude is a seperate character.

5.) Dance is actually a main focus.

6.) Old german professor dude is the only actual male character, any other male character is minor at best.

1.) The Coven is trying to recruit Suzy

2.)There is two factions in the coven one side wants to keep in the shadows the other wants to be more open with recruitment.

3.) The coven is just as messed up as it was in the original Suspiria, but with more debauch assets of Mother of Tears.

4.) Only Three people die.
The ending I will admit kinda ruins it for me.
Helena Markos IS NOT Mater Suspirium in this she is just a tumor infested hag who wants suzy for a new body, except turns out Suzy is the REAL Mater Suspirium (completely contradicting the whole film and it comes out of left field) and kills the members of the coven who followed Markos, its implied that Suzy will lead the coven to a more benign route.
Overall pretty good I will see if there is any major changes in the final film but from the trailer looks like not much was changed, I hope they changed the ending at least.

Aw I love the original film, this doesn't seem too bad by all accounts. As long as it's not some "dumb teen sex party turns into gory mess" remake like House of Wax / Friday the 13th / Black Christmas was I think we'll be safe.

I liked how nightmareish like the aesthetic for the original film was.

so one of the songs for the movie has been uploaded

i am definitely getting the soundtrack

The trailer looks like they captured the spirit of the original while doing something new. That's how a remake should be. Hopefully this remake lives up to that.

Just saw the movie:

* It's radically different than the original, to the point where it's less "70s horror movie" and more "70s art house movie". If you've ever wanted to see Rainer Werner Fassbinder's version of Suspiria, then this is it.
* There were choices both unique (Like completely ignoring the 180-degree rule) and stuff that felt like it was artsy for the sake of being artsy (Digitally-zoomed in images, slo-mo by way of lower shutter speed, etc.)
* Most of the performances were great, though Tilda Swinton was a little hard to believe as an old man.
* And since it's still Suspiria, there's some incredibly fucked-up killings and imagery.
* It also really didn't need to be two and a half hours long, but it still didn't detract from my experience.
* Thom Yorke's score felt sparsely used considering that he put it out as a double album, and the moments when it's used vary from effective to baffling, like the use of "Unmade".
* Also, get ready to see some of the worst cg blood you'll ever see at the ending.

Overall I'd say see it if you know what you're getting into, especially considering that the movie's apparently at it's widest theater count.

(Fun fact: This is also the first movie I've seen at an Alamo Drafthouse. I now see what all the hype's about.)
