Susie Green & Mermaids UK - "Trans Kid Support Charity", Susie had her underage kid get GRS

Nice. Hope more Mumsnetters join, they've made some good finds! Josie Long's a comedian who appears on BBC panel shows a lot. She's an Oxford grad and got into comedy young, and while to be fair to her, she is pretty funny, TV comedy's very much about who you know - so she's the type who's very likely to have connections within the BBC who've warned her about Mermaids.

Josie Long has nuked her entire twitter.

However she did it so quickly that it attracted attention, and I think people were able to sift through google cache because

The British Media like to portray themselves as woke and progressive. Which in a way they are.

However they're also a pack of sharks that can sense when there's blood in the water. Even left wing papers like the Guardian will rip Mermaids apart for it's readers entertainment when the time comes (they'll probably have some tranny write a few pieces about how sad it all is for balance).

Mermaids seem to be making some small concessions towards medical accuracy. Some eagle-eyed terves spotted that they've changed their guidance on puberty blockers to say they "are believed to be reversible", from just outright claiming they are reversible. It's weasel words but shows they're trying to cover their arses in case of any legal trouble.

It's going to be Kids Company all over again, all the establishment supporters start making their way to the lifeboats, while the unhinged CEO just carries on as normal.

Stonewall and the NSPCC just dropped Mermaids.
Something is going on.

Update:
Starbucks UK also dropped them
And so did Childline
And Children in need

It's a pedo scandal isn't it?

Perhaps things might be finally coming to a head? Aside from 4thwave and gendertrender, questions of concern have been steadily cropping up. Of course we may be wrong and end up on the wrong side like incidents past (video games create killers, child abuse cults etc), but for the now the posed question seems appropriate: what evidence do they have to back up their claims?

I have been digging into papers and interviews by Blanchard, Cantor and Zucker in order to understand the topic better, and despite acitivist screaming that they are conservative bigots, they seem far from it. More importantly they can actually back up their assertions, such as the HSTS/AGP classification and that HSTS could be seen as an extreme form of homosexual sex differentiation, based on cohort studies going back decades and across multiple countries.
In the medical field it really seems to be a battle over whose theories are in the right direction and Zucker et al seem to be drawing the short end of the stick as the other side had the (initial) public backing thanks to all those activist orgs. But tables might be turning. (Ill link the interviews in a bit, they are quite interesting)

What does Mermaids have, or to put it more crass institutions such as Tavistock, Karolinska institute and all those informed consent clinics in the US, in order to justify puberty blockers, the cross sex hormones in minors and pushing the age limit down? Apparently very little from what I can find (Biggs does a lot of research on this, I highly recommend his critical analysis, actually someone in the field of sociology doing something decent) and what is more baffling there is a disconcerting lack of studies being carried out on our current "guinea pig" cohort in order to verify whether it actually helps/harms, leave alone the long term effects.

WPATH also seems to be full of shit, just a large organisation posing with the veneer of a professional convention. Lisa MacRichards has been combing through the guidelines and the references and claims are spurious or blatantly false. Our dear Marci Bowers is also on the board and it is rightly pointed out that most of these people have severe conflicts of interest.
Cantor had a look at the American AAP guideline and to my disbelief he found that there are several instances of them taking positions and referencing a paper that concludes the exact opposite. The entire thing seems to be hellbent on the affirmative approach despite everything.

Also this Swedish Doc in part I and part II examines the whole thing with a critical lens, while also presenting several transgender people in a dignified and sympathetic light (some of you really may hate any type of T, but I am sympathetic to their plight).
They showcase a ROGD case, but also a HSTS who has regret; both were just really intent on the treatment in order to fix their problems. Just awful, I really felt bad for them.
We also had a documentary (for Dutch speaking Kiwis) here about a Dutch HSTS with regret, really tragic and he also initially disappeared from follow-up due to shame. Transition regret really warrants proper research as most people disappear afterwards and therefore not known for certain how they are doing.

The documentary also notes that some very absolute claims are made in bills and guidelines and when pressed on it, the experts and politicians back away by noting that the sentence is "phrased poorly", leaving it up for interpretation if it was a mistake or done by someone with a certain ideological intent (looking at you activist orgs).
It is jaw dropping on how very little this is all being carried out and I start to understand why the Tavistock personnel back in 2019 up and left over such concerns.

You are probably right that it is just about a internal scandal with Mermaids, but I am being hopeful that these organisations are getting more thoroughly examined on what they do, because well-intentioned as most of these activists may be, they are seemingly pushing for things that are ill conceived with little EBM behind it.
Also I want Penis News and Stonewall to swallow the bullet and eat shit: their blatant stupidity has been grating one me severely.

Glad to see that in the Netherlands we are more cautious, as dismayed as I was to learn that we came up with the puberty blocker idea. :/

(BTW what do you guys use to preserve vids for posterity? I would like to create a collection next to my literature assembly, as I am trying to broach this subject with colleagues and med students at my faculty.)

Edit: @Trig.Point thank you kindly for the pointer.

As promised the links to the interviews with Kenneth, Zucker, Blanchard. Yes, they are with Benjamin Boyce, but I find him quite bearable and these researchers have been decried by activists, finding good outlets with interviews with them is difficult.
1) Blanchard: Stigma and Censorship with Dr. Ray Blanchard
2) Zucker: Gender, Development, and Identity
3) Cantor: A Crash Course in Sexology - there is also a large segment on pedophilia, which some might very controversial, but it is very informative especially given the heavy stigma surrounding the topic.

4) I found a subtitled version of the Dutch HSTS Transition Regret Documentary, I recommend it, because this is an "old case" which shows how the Dutch approach to this and his story seems to align with the Blanchard et al theory on Transgenderism as the extreme end of homosexuality. It is also very tragic and heartbreaking, the guy was a handsome gaylord dealing with coming out in the wrong way.

At what point do we declare a happening?

Null did a guide on how to download videos from YouTube last year.

Other than keep them on your own hard drive, I think the preference is still for relevant videos to uploaded directly to Kiwi Farms.

You can use google drive or https://mega.nz/ to share them, but they can always be deleted,

Keira Bell's lawsuit against tavistock is going forward, and mermaids might catch some of the responsibility for the case if she wins. The people who resigned from tavistock named mermaids directly as trying to push the affirming model of care that harmed her. Mermaids recently changed their info on puberty blockers to try and pass the buck for the "reversible" line onto the NHS. I think some attorneys are seeing the writing on the wall here, Keira has a good chance to win the case and then mermaids is going to be sued into oblivion.

NHS Lawyers are ruthless, and the NHS as a whole don't like paying out money in court cases (though if it gets arbitrated out before it gets to court they can be relatively generous).

If it does get to court, Mermaids will be encountering a different part of the NHS, one that's less concerned in affirming their delusions, than they are in keeping the NHS in a solid financial state.

It wouldn't surprise me if it's the NHS lawyers that ask for Mermaids to surrender documents emails etc.

Suzie Green is such an arrogant narcissist that it also wouldn't surprise me if she thinks she's smart enough to get away with destroying files.

One thing to watch out for is any individual announcements from Mermaids top executives, some of whom actually appear to be reasonably accomplished (unlike Green herself). They might survive Mermaids crashing and burning, but if Green does anything dodgy to protect herself they'll be obligated to take action.

I was wondering why so many of the troons and woko haram I know have banhammered Long recently. What exactly did she do??
Edit: sorry, I'm a tard. I read your post properly.

Ooohhh. I cannot wait to see what happens then. Something is brewing if people are quietly removing their support for it. I wonder what's going on? It'll be fun to watch when it goes down.

After Jimmy Saville, the Beeb is super careful about people and groups who prey upon kids.

I'm inclined to think this over paedo scandal. There's already been safeguarding issues at Mermaids made public, and while your average British person hates nonces, the British upper class and establishment aren't all that bothered - see Eric Joyce MP getting a suspended sentence for watching the worst category of child porn (that is, "Images involving penetrative sexual activity, images involving sexual activity with an animal or sadism") and his journalist girlfriend India Knight sticking by him, or the whole thing with Prince Andrew and Epstein. If it's a paedo scandal it's a big one like Savile was.
IIRC Mermaids is mostly lawyers and IT professionals, so I reckon they know how fucked they are if they end up in court.

They could absolutely have a tranny who transitioned as an adult write about how it was the right decision for them as an adult but they wouldn't want children to make those decisions, plenty have been speaking out about it on social media but the papers aren't interested in them at the moment. They might talk to some in the future when all this goes down, who knows.

I like where this is going. The biggest child trans charity in the UK having a scandal big enough for almost everyone important to drop them? I'm not optimistic enough to say this may be the start for us Britbong LGBs to finally drop the T. However it's a step in the right direction, no-one sane wants kids transed as easily as they are now.

As horrible as it sounds, I hope the issue is the trannies in chief being nonces, maybe the people would wake up to the realities of the movement should that happen. :optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:

I completely agree. The trans movement is a toxic cancer that preys upon the vulnerable and is founded in bullshit, lies and the rigid enforcement of outdated, sexist gender stereotypes and Green butchered her Son

I have to admit I'm pretty damn impressed with Mumsnet. They seem to have a lot of anger, rightly so over a lot of things and are really focussing on trying to challenge a lot of stuff.

It must be hard as fuck to raise a child anyhow but to do so when you've got the hundred gender tards coming into school along with drag queens with questionable pasts? No thanks.

In short, I respect how they've upped their game considerably with archiving stuff and how they're no longer prepared to be silent about stuff. Good on them, I say.

There's some good content on this thread as well, but I think the OP might benefit from being rewritten. In particular the title.

I did searches for information critical of Mermaids and this thread isn't showing up, where as Mumsnet and critical reddit threads are.

Mumsnet have a lot of women who've got kids with ROGD (rapid onset gender dysphoria, or suddenly going on Tumblr and deciding they're trans, the same sort of kids who would've been in pro-ana communities 10 years ago and cutting before that) and a lot of "trans widows" - women whose husbands have trooned out and either demanded they go along with the fetish or left them and their kids. They even have a "trans widows escape committee" thread where they help each other get out of the (usually abusive) relationships. They're just everyday average women but they're the ones dealing with the difficult side of this shit, away from the brave and stunning shows for the cameras. Plus, most of them work or have worked and are in a variety of industries and pool their skills and experience. The Munchie mums can be bloody tenacious in harming their kids, but normie mums are just as strong in protecting them.

I've seen the trans widows threads. Utterly horrendous stuff and I have nothing but sympathy for the poor ladies posting on there. It's that shocking, some of it that I had to just stop.
