I am very open to suggestions. I've been struggling to grow the site for multiple years now due to our limited reach and general reluctance for users to evangelize the forum.

what if you set up an AI tool that will generate summaries of large lolcow threads with an option where an AI voice will read the summary with a playlist of Kevin MacLeod music tracks playing in the background? that's 90% of what YouTube drama channels are and with a feature like that it would make it easier to pull in lonely people who need constant yammering in the background and zoomers that have very short attention spans and difficulty reading above a 6th grade level

next level after that would be pressing a button on a lolcow page that will summarize what happened since the last time you ran the summary. since that needs to be tracked per user it would incentivize people to create accounts

Kiwi GOLD conversions can be achieved by limiting non-gold users to a certain number of summaries per day or having a gold-only option of including images with the summary. another gold only feature could be having an AI summary of what happened in a user's watched threads in the last 24 hours

Whenever he actually puts it on the front page he gets a big swarm of donations. I feel like if he left it up constantly he might get the initial swarm, it'll peter out and then just a minor amount of donations every now and then instead of commanding a swarm on command/with proper timing.

The next hardware milestone is to get an NVIDIA 6000 Ada Pro. This would have to go in a new machine. It would unlock all practically available AI utilities to use, including:
(1) Subtitling of all videos and audio, including historic, much sooner than the current rate.
(2) Transcriptions of all legible text on any image.
(3) AI-enhanced search: VECTOR(768) indices of all forum content including posts, file names, image/video/audio transcripts.
(4) An actual chatbot that can do searches for you across the site.
(5) some other shit, I could try making AI generation accessible to premium users and for about 3 days before someone does something dumb and I have to delete it all.

The card is MSRP $9000 right now. Getting a server that's reasonable for this task is up to $35,000. The crown jewel of the lolcow fleet.

Suggestion for whenever we get that rig: limit the ability to use any AI features the way Stanchion is limited. LLM derangement is real and there's always a non-zero chance that a bad actor could just do the burner account thing and try leveraging an exploit. Totally paranoid, totally autistic, probably won't ever happen... but it ain't zero and there is precedent for other site mechanisms to be leveraged against us.

One fucking M4 Mac Mini ($800) can transcribe at 100x speed.

Downsides: have to beat claude like a rented mule to code on Mac to use their transcription (local) API
